Hey guys, first post and the IH-666S-21 are my first Iron Heart purchase, super excited! Was in between the 666 and the 777. Already thinking about giving the 777 in 14oz a shot.
Happy to be here, and learn more about IH through all you diehards!
Good choice Spencer! Both of them
The 666s-21 had the first watercontact last Sunday after 6 months by wearing 4 times a week in rotation in easy office work. The cut and weight is good, also with the Red Wings MocToe.
The 777-142 has 10 wears. It will be my way in summer, not of the breathability, the 21 oz works.
But i prefer lighter, floating, peaceful denim to chinos to shorts over 20 degrees C.
The 777 is my favorite because of the lower rise, more space for my thighs and with all my sneakers.
The Blue of 142 is amazing and the cut feels perfectly out of the bag. Just now i hope the 777 will never be dirty.@Bensdad96 These look great!
I got my 666's today. Fit is real good, but the waist is a bit tighter than expected (ordered a 32). Took about 30mins of wearing and trying to button the top button until I finally got it closed. The jeans fit well just about everywhere, but are a bit more snug in the top block, waist than I expected. I'm sure they'll open up, so I am good.
I definitely think the 14oz, either 777 or 666's will be my next pair since they probably will wear slightly more comfortable here in L.A. in the summer. That being said, this is the "heaviest" weight denim I have ever owned and I am pleasantly surprised how light they wear for being 21oz.

The 14oz is woven quite a bit more tightly than the 21oz, so you might find them to be a bit warmer than you expect. I love the 142 denim, but the now-extinct 16oz Vintage denim is my go-to for the hottest days of summer. It has a looser weave that breathes a lot better than the 142 denim. The upcoming slubby 16oz denim might be a great warm-weather option, it appears to have a looser weave.

@xtcclassic that's what I've heard with regards to the 14oz weave. Definitely intrigued by this stubby 16oz's

Coming up on one year with these.
Sorry for the crap light
First and only pair—- so far:)
These are my go to pair — somebody here said that riding bikes bring the fades, don’t know if that’s true— but it doesn’t hurt either.
these have been stubborn/slow to fade.
They are just now starting to do some amazing things.
Never been happier -
Absolutely gorgeous @dinobarnesberlin. There is nothing quite like 21oz fades. The take so long but one is rewarded richly for the effort and patience.

So true @neph93 – takes a long time but when it finally starts, its worth the wait.
I remember back when I first found the forum--reading something that you had written to some other newbie about the joys of the 21 oz....you were right then, and you are right again
Looking forward to year two with these. -

I checked the super slim section, and the 666 models are no there, Are they taking the 666 out of the collection?
Hi.
The 666 is in the «Slim» section. It is not considered «Super Slim» because of the way the leg drops below the knee.
All products marked «Continuous Production» will restock. The IH-666s-21 will certainly be back at some point, although I couldn’t tell you when.

You won’t see any difference in color from the 21oz for the first few washes, Kasi . A soak isn’t really necessary with 21oz.

Truth^
They fade slowly, but beautifully, no soak needed, not is it wise. Just wear them like you hate them, wash them when they’re dirty.

Hey guys,
I just wanted to give some information on theae jeans in the hope it helps newbies like me.
I was really torn between the 777 and the 666. I also wanted to try the 25oz (XHS) vs 21oz.Luckily, I am an hour away from Gosport so had the privilege of trying jeans on in person.
The 666 XHS felt very rugged and durable and Graham IH was wearing a great pair that had softened up. He recommended washing them from the get go. Unfortunately they were out of my size. I attempted a 34 (my size is 36) with very little joy.
I then tried some 777s in 25oz. Whilst the 36 went on ok. The cut is definitely tighter and I had bunches at the back of my knee which would have chewed the back of my legs up. I realise they would also have provided awesome fades and contrast but as a bigger guy I readily admit I am built for comfort not for speed.
I then teied on some 666s 21oz. I can't be 100% sure if I would have bought the 25oz over the 21oz but I ended up getting the 21oz for a few reasons. 1. They fit really well. 2. They were in stock. 3. I will likely wear them for work so like that they will fade slowly.
With reference to the 21oz. I tried on a 36 that was about .2" from buttoning up. Luckily they had a few in stock and I managed to get a pair that were a tad bigger than the measurements suggested on the site and fit perfectly.
Here are my lessons for newbies overwhelmed like I was:
1. IH customer service is probably the best in the world (eapecially Graham) so if you are in doubt just use the webchat
2. As there is variance in sizes, cuts and fabrics study the charts. I could easily if ordered a 36 online. Not been able to do it up, exchanged for a 38 that was too big and then not know what to do so best to ask for a larger 36 if that makes sense.
3. If possible the journey is worth it to IH to get the fit perfect. I appreciate this isn't possible for everyone but as you are spending a big chunk of change it's great to get the fit right.
4. You will realise that certain cuts are not quite right for you and that's cool
Appreciate this hall all been covered but just my 2 cents.
