You rock "the mid life crisis leather jacket" supremely. I will add that you are to young to qualify [emoji16]

I think with 42 years of age I qualify, but thanks.

@Max:
So here it is and im blown away. Will take the weekend to do a full review and better pictures, these dont do it justice. But for now let me say I love that jacket. The wife likes it too, in fact thats what she's yelling to me from the steeet below.
Oh hell yeah Flo! Great look great fit.
-
So, as I said I try to give you some better pictures and fits with different pants and T-Shirts to see how versatile it is.
In short, I love this jacket and already can tell I've never regretted a purchase less. The leather smells and feels awesome, not too stiff nor too light. It's pretty comfy right out of the box and already formed some nice creases within the first two days of wear. Iit serves my intended purpose very well - I wanted a fairly tight jacket that I can wear just with a Tee as my Schott is quilt lined and due to the boxier fit looks sloppy when i don't wear something heavy like a hoodie underneath.
The jacket is not super warm which makes it perfect for the current rainy 12°C. As this is a common weather here it'll surely see a lot of wear.
I also find the jacket to be versatile as it can be dresssd up (sort of) or down. I tried to show that with a few different combinations, even if that's nerdy. And I like how the shoulders don't look huge as in some other jackets I tried.
Thanks to the crew for making my perfect jacket in a cut that could have been bespoke tailored.
Excuse the overload of pictures and also the quality is not just as nice due to compression.

…even if that's nerdy...
You’re a long time member of a one brand forum for a company that produces small batch, premium, niche clothing designed from first principles. I’d say that ship has sailed [emoji1]
Thanks for the great write up and pics. I enjoyed it all. Well done on an excellent purchase.
Oh, I agree that using the jacket for a bit of smart casual action works great.

Wanted to add some pics of one of my favorite IH items. This time I managed to get views from most sides. Hope they help convince someone who may be considering this top notch leather jacket. This one has violently relegated my two previous leather jackets to the far corner of my closet.

@Max Power and @motojobobo Both of you have great fits on your jackets.
-
@motojobobo yours Looks great! While I thought I'd miss the handwarmer pockets I actually prefer not having them for the Silhouette. But I'm super jealous of the lining on the SE Version.
-
I will admit to dismissing this version since it didn’t have handwarmer Pockets.
However, I have never even unzipped the side pockets on my J-54 - the gun pockets are roomy enough as it is.

I went back-and-forth on this issue as well. In the end I decided to go with the no pocketed version because it appeared that the self edge version had very long sleeves. I haven’t missed the pockets at all.

The side pockets were also a major influence on my decision. I do use them.

Even when I don’t use them I almost always prefer having them. I don’t own any other jackets without pockets and I don’t think I’d buy another one. I guess the trade off with sleeve length is the only thing that could make me change my mind (and I’m not even really sure if the SE version had longer sleeves).

I couldn't do without side pockets…that is where I stuff my gloves as soon as I get off the bike. Not having those pockets would mean losing gloves ALL the time for me. However, with the recent IH previews, it may be a welcome moment to lose a glove or two?
As the pics show, I went with a looser fittting jacket and even though the shoulders are wide on me, the sleeve length feels perfect while riding. I wouldn't want the sleeves any shorter on the bike, but I give up a better fit while not riding as a tradeoff.
