Nothing special…
Just cleaning up the empties before the wife gets back tomorrow
*I don't particularly like this beer… It's not terrible, but a bit more citrusy than I prefer... But, for some reason, the shop on base stocked a shit ton of it for the past 2 months, and no other IPAs, so I've just been drinking away. Tastes like nothing by now -
Djeesus… it’s a good thing your wife is arriving soon (although maybe not for the shop on base... [emoji15])
Yeah, that beer gut of his is out of control…

Haven't had too much since last post, but this was amazing. The whole spon series has really been wonderful. Also drank a 2011 Vigneronne, which was absurdly good, but forgot to take a picture.

Wandering around today, I saw a couple of things that made me think of @Seul-
Beer I know you like, in a for pack of 12 oz bottles
And this is just so ridiculous it had to be shared

Melvin Hubert Pale Ale…Gold medal at this year's Great American Beer festival.
Melvin took home gold for best overall brewery too... go figure.

Can't go wrong with a Bomb!
Went down to Richmond with my wife and some friends for the East Coast Covenant Beer Fest at Triple Crossing Brewing last weekend. Crossed a lot of beers off the sheet. Drinking a take home tonight. Really good hops from these guys.

So wasted on me, but my friends try to widen my tastes
Had Costco or BJ Sangria afterwards

How did you like the Heady?
That beer is one of the game changers in the industry. The back story is interesting as well. Long story short, husband and wife opened brew pub in a little town in VT. They didn't sell any beer to go. Word got out and people would order a pint, take it to the bathroom and pour it into a bottle and ship/trade it around the country. They then decided to start canning. There is now a website that tracks their trucks and deliveries…. -
This is absolutely delicious… I’m sure it’s awesome. Went to their website ,and used their beer finder to see if it’s available anywhere in my area. Looks like they have lots of really interesting beers, especially barrel aged stouts, even the non barrel aged version of what you got sounds really good. I’ll have to keep drinking vicariously through you.
