@Filthy:
These make me cringe. Do these bring out the Trypophobia in anyone else?
I’m getting the word, dandruff

I like them. In fact, they remind me of one of my favorite pairs of all time- the Studio D'Artisan Xs-33. After a while, the neps rub off, leaving a more traditional looking denim. I loved those jeans…

Holy fuck Chris. I couldn't imagine wearing those in Texas. I imagine that the denim was probably a major pain in the ass to make. I know that pair of N + F is one of the more expensive pairs of seen.

I remember the SDAs were fairly expensive, even by limited run, Japanese selvedge denim standards, so you're probably right about the denim being a huge hassle to make, @Filthy. I don't remember the SDAs being particularly hot, though, and I wore them for two years for one of Megatron's heavyweight denim contests. Of course, I've been wearing heavy denim in Texas for a long time, so I've acclimated to the heat and humidity. In fact, it's been so long since I've had to live in cold weather that I probably couldn't handle a Pennsylvania winter these days.

I’m with you in Camp No-Nep Mike but I don’t have a reaction to them beyond “no thanks.”
I like for jeans to evolve with character that I primarily imprint on them. That’s why I can be hit or miss with slubby denim: it’s like painting on a bumpy canvas. Which, depending on whether you’re doing a photorealistic painting versus abstract art (to carry the metaphor forward), can be more or less fit for your purposes. I look forward to trying my IH slubs but I think they’ll come behind the flat, crease-able natural indigo I have that should be able to get the kind of contrast I prefer.
The 18oz natural doesn’t take on sharp creases as readily though and thus has softer contrasts, yet it’s still one of my favorites (probably mostly because of the crazy character it develops vertically and horizontally), so who knows.

The main thing about that photo that makes me cringe is the width of that hem. Is it just me or does that look like 5"?

I like the later sunset and all, but Spring Forward can really suck it

As someone who lives a place where we go from 24 hour darkness to 24 hour daylight over a six month period, I can assure you all that daylight savings is pointless bollocks. The steady change in the length of a day is something we as a species are programmed for. A sudden overnight change, we are not.
