Yup. I feel your pain. Hope this gets sorted fast and you can get out successfully.
I suppose if it's still terrible out of SD, maybe your agent can get you a car to drive to LAX where there could be more options?
Had to do that once myself a long time ago to get back to Denver. -
Thanks—I got lucky and made a standby.
The far flung geography and limited public transit of SoCal are not ideal. I was checking airports all the way to LAX with no luck. I am so grateful to have been at the top of the standby list. What a shit show!

Just laughing at the fact that this thread has 11,857 posts! Nothing quite unites people of the world like a good old rant! Being a middle aged man I'm getting increasingly partial to a good old rant myself! My wife often refers to me as Victor Meldrew. For those from outside of the UK and partial to a good old rant look up Victor Meldrew and One Foot in the Grave. A brilliant sitcom about a grumpy old man.

I was possibly middle-aged when I created this thread.....
...judging from some of your antics and joie de vivre, I would have guessed you were still in your 30's.

If it weren‘t for bad luck… Plans for the party in 4 weeks out of the window, everything thrown under the bus. Father in law in hospital with a stroke, and I just drove my mum to the clinic, she‘s going under the knife for back surgery first thing tomorrow morning. Still struggling with my father‘s passing 8 months ago - it‘s quite a lot that‘s currently thrown my way.

@tody sorry to hear of your troubles, man. It can really suck sometimes, I feel ya. We may not be able to control all things in life but we can control how we respond. Stay strong, my dude. Positive vibes.
