IHV-21 - Flannel Bonded Indigo Denim Type III Vest
-
Just bought one. Hopefully XXL fits as it was the only size left that was close for me lol. Stoked on the price though!
Congratulations. It's a great vest. If it helps, I'm an XL in most IH shirts and got an XL in this. It goes great over my OD Type III, my IHJ-37, and an IH hoodie. I can also wear it over a tee and a UHF. I'm actually tempted to get the M and wear it over just t-shirts. It's an amazing bit of clothing.
Thanks for the info! I'll be sure to update when she comes in!

I needs fit pics, with jackets, collared, and Tee's. Pretty please. Thanks!

Going to have to return this. Does not fit my body well. Too stiff, and lumpy in weird places. Going to settle on the 526SV and hope it works out better.

Really bummed this didn't fit right. Just got my 526SV and it's a lot better as far as the way my body fits the vest.

Sucks when that happens. But not every piece is right for every person. I hate that I can't wear the 634 cut.
It's a challenging vest as well. That 18oz is unsanforised and stiff as a board. Can I ask, were you using it over leathers?

No, the only size left was XXL so I was going to wear it over flannel, but the arm holes were too small for that, and the area in the back of the neck was bunching up. And it buttoned up, but would unsnap whenever I sat down.

Understood… just a bad fit. Glad it worked out with the other vest though.

The vest is incredible. I don’t know why I never managed to find one. Count yourself lucky.

@sabergirl thank you
@browniemcghee I agonised over sizing with this and felt I’d got it wrong initially (when the other sizes had gone of course). It’s so great that the only thing to do was to find out how to use it
It’s one of those IH products that reminds me of H.P. Lovecraft (it’s a thing that should not be). I don’t know what H and G were thinking when they put this together but it was a moment of inspired madness. The 18oz is stiff and dense already, add all the construction stitching and thick seams of a type three then bond flannel to it. Bond mind you, not just a sewn lining. What the effective weight of the final composite is I don’t know but it’s a tough, heavy, stubborn, S.O.B.
@RoxRocks86 It does indeed. It’s had a bit (tends to come on cabin trips and travel days with me), but it needs more. Much more. It can take a kicking without a doubt.
