Nerd Fact
The IH-717 selvedge chino has needle holes running down the seam. These holes come from the the process of cold mercerization. We have to physically stabilise the fabric to Mercerize it. It is unusual for anyone to cold mercerize a chino fabric, so normally the holes are not seen as the edge of the fabric is cut to waste. This is not a defect.

Oh these are mercerized??? Nice!! Damn….definitely copping a pair. @Giles I apologize if this is another question that has been asked a million times already but I don't recall seeing the answer anywhere yet, but what fit are these going to be and what weight is the fabric??? Or is this a new fit??

Delightful. Still thinking these might make it into a black color run at some point? (Vaguely recall that the selvedge was of a diff fabric that could resist dying…. )

Black is on the cards. And you are correct about the selvedge ID

grey Ombre wins for me although I feel like blue might be a sleeper that truly shines when you actually see it in person.

Might this be a non-fading black? I'm still hoping for a 12-16oz super black chino at some point, but I'd settle for this for now if it's going to be equally fade-resistant.
