killer fit on you CW
Thanks! I love the cut, it's supposed to be based on a vintage Lee model, but I find that it fits highly similar to the SD-103.

anyone experience these SDA chinos?
oh, how I wish those IH chinos would come soon!
I own a pair of those SDA chinos. They are really nice, definitely the nicest pair of chinos that I've ever owned, though admittedly they are my only pair of high-end chinos so far. They fit on the slim side, I recommend going TTS with them.
The chinos are on their way to me from BiG, should arrive today. The sizing seemed a bit odd, I ordered a tag 28, BiG measurement 30.5 in the waist, that's the smallest they had… I'd prefer a waist to come in around 29-30 allowing for stretch, but we'll see.
They're supposed to be raw (sanforized), did you soak yours initially, and if so did they shrink at all?

I'd be careful about trying to stretch these, because the top button is sewn on, not riveted in. If you try to stretch them too much, you're likely to pop that top button off.
Also, I recommended TTS on these, because even though the waist measurement looks like it runs big, these chinos fit pretty narrow in the hips. I was considering sizing down due to the waist measurement when I ordered mine, but I'm really glad that I didn't.
I did hot soak mine, but I didn't really notice any change in how they fit me afterwards. The inseam might have shrank up a fraction of an inch, but I didn't measure before soaking, so I can't confirm it.

Would it be recommended to soak these prior to wearing?
My concern is if I don't soak them, it will wear out a lot quicker, and if I do, they will shrink to a point that I won't be able to put them on….they just fit
I was waiting for the stretch before soaking
Those look nice!.. Black?..

They are deep indigo with white weft dyed black

i am pretty sure they're raw? so yes you should soak them which does shrink them so….....
not soaking raw does wear faster, i find raw jeans stretch easier after soak. how tight are they now?
Jimmy - I would say I probably have maybe give/take 1/2 inch to spare on the waist….If I showered them them on....would that help with the shrinking....instead of just a plain soaking in cold water?

you dont waste anytime do you gollotti.
the legs dont look really tight at all but the waist needs to stretch slightly if anything.my suggestion would be cutting a piece of timber to wedge in the waist band, as tight as you can get it to button up then do your hot soak leave the timber in while drying.
that way your waist should stay the same while the rest shrinks.does that make sense to you?
