The Flat Head
-
@Omega:
I am the other way around. Love to get/wear FH, but sizing and fit are a bit off for me. Looking good sirxlaughs. A rant from me, not liking the label FH is using on their shirts.
Thanks! The label? Do you mean the piece on the left front pocket? If so, I don't understand Flat Head's reasoning for this either. I've only seen it on shirts made by their other brands like Glory Park and Black Mint. Shirts that are branded from Flat Head don't have any labels on the outside (that I've seen).
-
I've seen it on a sawtooth denim Western shirt, a little TFH logo in that cursive script. Generally they don't do it.
As much as I love representing IH, I must admit I prefer no labels on my clothes.
-
I'm with you on labels. I wish IH would offer some flannels and plaids without it. (Not going to stop me obvi)

That's interesting. My houndstooth flannel has the label, but my Glory Park Acid trip shirt doesn't. I don't mind the label. Like IH it's almost too small to even read. Just my opinion though.

Or you could buy more Triple Works!

I have 6 FH workshirts and 5 of them have shrunk further with a 40C wash, despite all of them being 'one-wash'. This includes a wabash workshirt from 2011. The 6th has not been washed yet although I expect similar results.
-
Yeah… I generally call bull on when things are one-washed and no further shrinkage is claimed. I'm sure that if you cold wash and line dry nothing will happen but in my experience with almost all clothing a hot wash and/or dry will always tighten things up.
-
I got the Red Flathead Winter Flannel from SE last year, hoping it would shrink up a little… hot wash and dry and zero shrinkage
-
None of my FH shirts or tees have ever shrunk any at all with cold washing and air drying. Almost all of the shirts (with just a few exceptions, like the unwashed 7001) are one wash and shouldn't shrink any more with normal use. If you use a dryer or hot wash, though, I guess it might shrink a little.
The "W" at the end of a product's name means that it's been washed, by the way.

Just came in…. Wow this shirt is nice. Might be my new favorite....sleeves aren't too long like from what I remembered. The cuff opening is definitely very large but that can always be fixed with a new/moved button.
-
I don't like how huge the cuffs are, I may move that button too. My sleeves being overly long would be manageable with human-sized cuffs.
-
Yeah I might as well. I think it'd make a big difference in how the cuff sits.
-
Quick fit pic…. I kind of take back how I said I thought it fit strangely. I think it'll look even better (less rigid) as it gets some more wear
-
A hot wash did wonders for the fabric in my case. Looks great! The buttons look way cooler as the paint flecks off the steel; I'd prefer them unpainted in fact.
-
Finn, the (old) TFH Wabash is the only FH Shirt that works on me…perfctly. A 44 would be your perfect fit, trust me.

Copped the Flat Head down coat at Self Edge. This thing is a beast.
