IHSH-165 - Indigo Herringbone Single Pocket Work Shirt - Contrast Stitching
-
I think it'll shrink a bit on such a hot wash. My concern though, given the indigo dying and the ease with which these fade, was streaks/crease lines. But I've had so much success with shrinking IH wabash a tried and teasted method (a thorough soaking with the shower head, followed by a 95C machine wash and 400rpm spin), that I took the risk. I can't say for sure that is has shrunk yet as it's still drying but I've avoided any unsightly marks and it "looks" a little smaller.

The hot wash has led to some shrink, but not much. Certainly not as much as the IH wabash shrinks with the same treatment. The shirt fits ok, I could use it for layering over thick henleys in winter for example, but this material is so wonderful that I'm going to get my seamstress to take it in at the sides.

Love this one…. under the radar classic !
I was wearing mine yesterday, and I agree completely. It blows my mind that it went on clearance.

Love this, but mine is far to big!
Does it shrink??
Seems that I have to do the extreme test, from XL to L…..
Suggestions or trades?Definitely an under the radar classic.....!!! @neph93 , @Haddtoo 555

Awesome shirt!!! I bought 2…you know, one to work in I haven’t washed yet...I really think a whole size is a stretch. Good luck

Mine fit a bit big also….probably could do a small in this now....comfy fit work shirt.

Seems that I have to do the extreme test, from XL to L…..Bad news buddy. No shrinkage. My XL was also very big through the body so I did hot soak followed by a 90C (!) wash. Nothing.
I liked it so much I had it tailored instead.

Selfedge has these in all sizes.

These are from WAYWT late summer/early autumn 2017… it was very blousy and wide on me so the easiest fix was to open it at the side seams and sew it up more like a western. Lost the gussets as a result. You can see it’s wider at the shoulders compared to the body than an IH workshirt would normally be. I was happy with the result.
