IHJ-52 - Indigo 13oz Selvedge Denim Rider's Jacket

If this had a two-way zip, I'd be all over it!
No two way zip. But fekk it, it has chambray lined sleeve gussets and collar! [emoji1417][emoji28]
Tbh, I've been wanting a summer jacket for two years but decided it was a bit of a luxury given the climate where I live. Now I think I need to move somewhere more temperate just to get to use it more [emoji23]

Truthfully, I love everything about the riders' jackets, but the cut hasn't ever worked for my womanly figure. My hips are too wide to be able to have the thing sit right, zipped. Ditto for the majority of type IIIs, but with those, leaving the bottom button open is an acceptable work-around.

After the G-man 60th bday celebration shirt, I'm def gonna prioritize getting my hands on one of these bad boys.

So i tried on the lined riders jacket at SESF this past week and it was the 42(XL) and it fit great. From the looks of it, it seems like that means a XXL in this jacket is going to get me right.
@Giles are there any substantial differences in fit between these two jackets that I might not be aware of?

Awesome sauce G-man! I'm very excited. let's do this thang!

Cross post of mine after having the sleeves shortened…..
Hot soaked once to get some shrinkage out of it.

I just stumbled upon this post because I really wanted this jacket in 13oz but it's no longer available… I've found a used one on sale and I was thinking about buying it but as far as I can tell, there is no inside pocket which is a bummer because I love my inside pockets for my phone... Dang it.

Thanks @neph93 for Super fast shipping
Now I need to decide whether to chop the arms or not. I like the light weight and fit, but the sleeves are way too long.

Looks great overall. Personally I would get the sleeves shortened if you are not happy with them. I did with mine. Found a great tailor who was able to deconstruct and reconstruct the original cuffs to maintain the zip and chambray lining. Although it cost me a fair chunk of cash, it was certainly worth it!
