Way to go!!!

@Denimminer I know that fit can be really personal, but I'd say that pair looks really good on you!
@hoppy_IPA they look good! It's nice how this fabric develops evo fast, isn't it. The process will speed up even more after they see water.

Too much flare from the knee down…
I’m confused… how can a tapered cut that drops relatively straight and slim from knee to hem have flare? Flare would happen if the leg below the knee got wider the further you went down the leg. Was it the size of the hem you didn’t like?

-
Could the appearance of flare be a result of strong calf muscles? If so, nice!
-
It was an appearance of "flare" that I got even though the knee was a half inch wider than the hem measurements. Maybe it was the cuff bulkiness?
I see what you mean. I think that you would avoid that if you hemmed them two inches, then cuffed. It looks like the result of too much fabric needing somewhere to go.

Neph is 100% correct. I had the same issue with this exact pair. Either take a couple inches off and give it a healthy cuff. Or, hem to your actual inseam length. All that excess material is creating a bell bottom illusion.

Lol I wish thanks though

I'll keep that in mind for next time. Was scared of hemming before a real wash on these so I just ditched them in fear of them not working after that making them harder to sell. I keep looking for a new pair and cross shop 777 and 555 . My 777 sop/berkeley supply 21oz are pretty much perfect but that particular 777 seems to be an outlier in that the rise front and rear are larger than other 777.

If you add an inch to your desired hem length you'll be fine. XHS does not shrink more than that.
