I know this is the thread for the 555XHSib but i don't know where else to post a question about a new product.
I saw this post yesterday and the 555xhs in the bottom left has me salivating.. Does anyone have any info or a possible release date? I'm guessing it will be F/W 19'..? If there is a separate thread to discuss please point me in the right direction.. Thanks

Really they not gonna happen for a while maybe towards the end of the year. You can keep waiting like every one else’s till then keep killing your jeans. Ha ha

Just tried my pair on, my fourth pair of 25 IH 25 oz and these are in a different league in terms of stiffness. The buttons especially are almost impossible to button up. I tried buttoning up the jeans before putting them on and it was almost impossible.
I’ve got a 15 hour flight from London to Taiwan next week and am considering breaking them in on this long flight however I haven’t soaked them yet and I’m not sure how my circulation in the legs will hold up.

Interesting the variation in folks experience with this batch of XHS. Some people find it tougher than the standard, others not so much. It would be interesting to know how much of a difference the dying process makes.
I cheated with this pair and used a set of reverse pliers to stretch the button holes. Lazy, but effective, and they’ve been fine since. I find otherwise that the denim is slightly softer and more supple than standard but that the break-in seems to be taking longer.

idk about regular xhs, but these are easier than pih5dct to wear however fades are taking longer to show up.

Bravery, or deep vein thrombosis….....it’s a mighty long journey even allowing for the 4 hour lay over in HK. I’ve just soaked them this morning, hoping they will soften up a little

This sounds like an awful, terrible idea. As if plane rides weren't already terrible.
I can tell you, you're not gonna get much, if any, "breaking-in" sitting on a plane for an extended period of time.

That sounds like the worst way to break in a pair of jeans.
Best way is to move in them. Not much moving on a plane.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
