IH-555-XHSib - 25oz Selvedge Denim Super Slim Jeans - Indigo/Black

Interesting the variation in folks experience with this batch of XHS. Some people find it tougher than the standard, others not so much. It would be interesting to know how much of a difference the dying process makes.
I cheated with this pair and used a set of reverse pliers to stretch the button holes. Lazy, but effective, and they’ve been fine since. I find otherwise that the denim is slightly softer and more supple than standard but that the break-in seems to be taking longer.

idk about regular xhs, but these are easier than pih5dct to wear however fades are taking longer to show up.

These are gonna take some work. 1 day wear, post hot soak.
Need hammer the hell out of them, to achieve that look. That only way.
Just tried my pair on,

Bravery, or deep vein thrombosis….....it’s a mighty long journey even allowing for the 4 hour lay over in HK. I’ve just soaked them this morning, hoping they will soften up a little

I’ve got a 15 hour flight from London to Taiwan next week and am considering breaking them in on this long flight
This sounds like an awful, terrible idea. As if plane rides weren't already terrible.
I can tell you, you're not gonna get much, if any, "breaking-in" sitting on a plane for an extended period of time.

That sounds like the worst way to break in a pair of jeans.
Best way is to move in them. Not much moving on a plane.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The 555 is being re-run.
@Giles Any chance of tonal stitching?
I can't get behind this idea because that would mean i'd need to buy a second pair!
