Get the larger and shrink it.  You'll get 1/2 a size of shrinkage.  Wash at 30C, if that does not get you enough shrinkage, wash at 40, repeat in +10C increments until you get where you want to end up.

Ah I see. I can still exchange for the XXL at SENY. My main concern with the XL is in the shoulders. Would the shoulders come in a bit on the XXL? The sleeve in it were quite long as well. Thanks Giles you’re a legend!

The XXL is a little long in the arms and a little wide but G-san quite right, a hot wash will sort it out. It will shrink in all directions, including the shoulders.

thanks for the feedback neph . With the color and the western pattern I feel like this shirt lends itself to a slimmer fit. How much shrink can I expect from a cold machine wash and hang dry?

You’ll never get it as small as the XL but you’ll get it at least half way there, maybe more.

If you’re happy with the XL and it feels good you could stay with that, but you will need to be careful washing it.
