IH-101J-SR - 18oz Selvedge Denim Storm Rider Jacket - Indigo

Got it on the higher size specifically to be a winter jacket for snowy situations. It's fantastic for this, and so warm.
-
It doesnt look oversized at all either. Best of both worlds!

Really think you nailed the sizing @Anesthetist –the fit looks great and it will only improve as the denim softens... This such an epic jacket.

Thank you, I am finally feeling like the jacket isn’t wearing me. I had a good 4 hours working outside with it yesterday and already little pops of blue are showing up. I am really hoping to be able to wear it well into the spring.

Storm rider finally getting a little use in the elements today

@Joberwocky man that thing looks it would last forever.

I've been wearing it pretty aggressively this winter and find the fades are slowly developing, but are starting. It's a boss jacket for sure…though I'm still envious of the 19oz Lefty

I feel like it's one or the other with those two…and I also think this one suits you well broski.

Just did a first pass of the driveway for the blizzard going on right now. This jacket was so perfect. Kept me warm and dry.
Edit: Added another photo the next day of it out in the snow with the boy. Also, this jacket went through the dryer twice, 20 minutes each time to dry it out from the snow, and it came out great.

The fades, they're trying

Out on Long Island (NY). Just had about 24” of snow in the blizzard.

Hello I managed to get one of these from ebay yesterday ( sold out in my size). I down sized and went with small I’m 5’11 70 kgs and a 38”chest.The stitching and build quality are brilliant the only thing is the denim feels very light for 18 oz it feels more like your 14 oz. This is not a gripe just something I noticed probably because I own the older 19oz lefty which feels like 30oz.
Also are there any of these with any fades yet? -

Good to see you (looking good [emoji6]).Yeah fabric weight is weird. So much depends on the fibres, the weave, and the hand. The 19oz is gnarly and feels at least as hefty as XHS, while the 18oz is quite beautiful but as you say feels relatively light. I’ve just scored the SLB denim at 16oz and the uneven hand makes it feel heavier than it is.

Thanks Rueben I’ve recently moved back down south where I was born so I’ m only an hour away from Iron Heart now but hoping this will be my last denim jacket.

I love my Stormrider, the denim feels nice and soft and the blanket lining adds a nice heft. Good looking fit @Gammaman
