Thanks @neph93. We majorly remodeled our historic house last year and I wanted to use as much architectural salvage as possible. The railing is and banister are black walnut from a Kentucky farmhouse that mostly burned. The wainscoting was ripped down from old walnut stair treads from the same area. And we chose lots of rich vibrant paint colors including a number that we mixed by hand to get the color we wanted (including this color).
It’s natural I would appreciate IH. It’s hard to find quality these days.

Indeed it is.
I’m inspired by that blue colour. It is very special and the contrast with the creosote tones of the would is beautiful. There is a great interplay of age and modernity there. I also love the way the walnut picks out the browns and blacks in your outfit, and the wall picks out the indigo shirt.
What kind of design do you work with?

Getting tired of these 90 degree days. Minnesota is known for brutal winters, not raging hot summers.
-
They don't @Giles. In winter they stay close to the hay, and eat almost constantly to stay warm.
They much prefer the cold over the heat. They also produce an incredible amount of heat by simply existing, so unless they are wet, they don't seem bothered by even -20f degrees. and they love riding in the winter if it's not icy. They aren't bothered by bugs or heat.
-
@jordanscollected you are really doing that vest justice. Looks brilliant.
-
thanks @neph93 . It's truly a joy to wear. Extremely comfortable out of the gate, and the length is perfect for pocket access when horseback riding.
It makes it much easier to beat up knowing that it doesn't "need" to be clean. You don't leave the farm clean, but i get about 20 wears between washes and rinse/repeat.
huge score from @Clint_D

Is that Firefly in the snow? Looks like a thicker, stronger horse.
