Matsuda

I was delighted to hear from @Danny RnH that Rivet & Hide is now carrying Matsuda glasses. Here's to R&H for their good choices. The photo here shows a history since the dark sunglasses here I purchased in 1986. Mine are all RX. Matsuda sorta' spoils you like Iron Heart–-the workmanship is really that good. Sometimes you really get what you pay for. I mean those glasses are 34 years old and I have worn them hard. Others are newer. The M3061 is my current favorite because it has cable ends that wrap gently 'round the ears perfectly, like the way a UHF fits right.

@profdbrk Thanks for starting this thread. As we get more of these in I'll definitely share out experiences and observations. It's good to hear from forum members with experience of Matsuda.

Wasn't sure if such a thread exists here at the IH forum, but heck IH has all of it!
I was looking for some handmade quality glasses and got a lot of inspiration here from the JMM thread. I was very keen on getting the JMM Earl which is supposed to be released in March, but then I came across this beautiful Matsuda M3116 in Brushed Gold and could not hold on from not getting it. I like wearing Aviator style glasses and have been a RayBan guy for almost a decade. This one from Matsuda is galaxies apart from fit and finish. Finally, very happy to wear some quality eyewear.

@Alex The images are not of high quality. Nevertheless, would IH carry Matsuda in the future?
-
@the246guy I don't think so, we are happy with the brand we are working with at the moment

@the246guy Rivet and Hide carry a very good selection of the Matsuda line…

I've been wearing Tom Ford for the last 4-5 years, but now it's time to up my glasses game and I think I am going to start with the Matsuda M2060 and then seek out some sunglasses once I finalize my RX.

@the246guy that’s pretty sweet frame

I have another one on the way, but this time I will either get the Akoni Camera Sand Swirl or the Sato Acamar-T. They will be my prescription glasses.
