Wore my XHS to the airport and had TSA show me how my jeans set off an alert on their monitors LOL spent 10 minutes with them patting me down ::)
TSA girl: it's his jeans huh?
TSA guy: yeah…they're really thickThanks Iron Heart

That happened to me with the 10AC Mister Freedom CPO.

@Giles How soon until a restock in size 40 in these? I might be able to squeeze into a big waist 38 if you have one. 39 is ideal.
I'm more interested in where the half inch thick intersection of seams on the back yoke falls. Being that the rise is over a full inch over the Pronto Slim Cut, I'm hoping that the yoke is a full inch higher… on my Prontos the yoke makes the jeans damn near unbearable to sit on for long trips.
If someone could measure from where the bottom of the yoke falls up from the seam in the crotch/ bartack that would be great.
-
I will most likely buy them. Unless the yoke would fall in the same spot on my tailbone when I sit.

I filled out the form so you can email me. I was reading another article about the Cone Mills closure today. I thought about how sad I would be if Iron Heart ever stopped making clothes. I felt strangely compelled to buy another pair of 25oz XHS just to have.
-
I would be sad also …...but I have enough of the stuff the last rest of my life.... because it lasts .
-
I think this is the thickest patch I've ever gotten on a pair, also the nicest. And the Wesco bee oil
-
You probably don't care… But I translated this tag that was on my jeans:
_**Handling Precautions
Because of unwashed items, some shrinkage comes out at the beginning of laundry
Washing 1-2 times is recommended before hemming.**_

^I guess my legs don't bend enough to get sweet combs [emoji848]

I think some of these combs are engineered, i.e., ironed in before actual wear begins. They are too symmetrical and precise to be random.
Probably not by an iron. But by wearing the jeans while they are damp.

Man it is great to be back into a pair of 25oz XHS again!
This pair has a soft and velvety hand right out of the gate. Might be that I did several boiling soaks. This cut is so comfortable too.

@Dstauffer haha that's the best denim and the best Iron Heart shirt too. Great minds think alike.

Guess I’m in the great minds club too. Wearing my 666-XHS and black 64 today as well.

I never posted any pics of my 634-XHS, size 33, from the DWC tux division. About 18+ months of wear, 20+ washes. I didn't follow the rules of posting monthly updates, so I suppose I was disqualified. I had RCFG taper them to 8.25" hem, and cut to 34" length. The did shrink quite a bit from new, and they were just too tight for me to deal with any longer. Now retired.
XHS is till my favorite IH denim, perhaps my favorite denim of all. I've stated it before, and I'll do so again: I'd love to see the 634-XHS details updated as per other 634 models, with double selvedge fly, tucked belt loops, lined rear pockets, and particularly the heaving gauge stitching that has been used in some areas. This denim deserves the extra attention to the finer details.
And just for reference, a fit when brand new:
