Can you guys recommend some decent long sleeve henleys? I was thinking of going with my old standby, Reigning Champ, but am open to other brands.

Depends on what weight you are going for. If you are going for a nice light or midweight I like Pistol Lake. If you are going for heavier then definitely Iron Heart.
-
Heavy - Go IH
Medium to Light - Stevenson, Nine Lives, or Merz B. -
I like those, however, I'm leaning towards a cotton henley over a thermal one. Tough call because I really dig the black and the grey thermals.

I meant non-thermal

Check out Pistol Lake. Their "heavyweight" henley is nice and probably more of a midweight by our standards. Their regular henleys are very nice too but much lighter.

how did you size on your henley from Pistol Lake? I'm eyeing the burnt taupe organic cotton henley but wasn't sure on sizing. I'm thinking i'd stick with my usual size large which I wear for tees
-
I bought 2 from them and decided to go a size larger than usual, and based on their size chart, went with XL. Got charcoal and clay.
the organic cotton henley is described as washed/preshrunk, so I don't know if i'd want to size up. I don't own any henleys, otherwise, i'd compare with their size chart

I'm a Large on Pistol Lake henleys. For reference Im a solid XL on most IH western and work shirts.
I also recommend pistol lakes.baseball t's.

thanks. I'm a large in IH tops and based on the PL size chart i'd probably have to go down to a medium. do you find the henleys to be acceptable length, or do they seem long? i'm afraid the length on a large would be too long at 5'11.

Relatively speaking these shirts are on the longer side and I love that. One of my biggest pet peeves in the world are shirts that come up too short. To me these hit the sweet spot….they have some good length to them but aren't so long that they look like pajama shirts....or those new trendy super long T shirts. What's up with that btw? Oh well, that's for another thread.
I'm 6' for reference.

I like my shirts to hit just below the belt. Any further than that and then we're getting into Gustin dick curtain territory

Then I think a Large might be too long for you.

Yes! I've picked up 4-5 tee shirts recently and all of them came down to my mid-thigh. I absolutely hate it.

So BBC says in this article - http://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-40498292
"to grow 1kg of cotton consumes the amount of water you've drunk in your lifetime"
&
UK washing load - 6kg (13lb) of fabric - can release:
140,000 fibres from polyester-cotton blend, nearly half a million fibres from polyester, more than 700,000 fibres from acrylic.
So I have a question - How true is this?
P.S> - I have tried hard, but I can't seem to add a hyperlink in this one. I add the URL within the square brackets as indicated, but it is not working. Any idea why?
