@ROman hey bud. You’re reference to reverse osmosis got me thinking about a documentary I saw at the Maui film festival a few years back. It’s about a machine called the “Slingshot” invented by a guy named Dean Kamen. I was wondering yiur thoughts since you are in the clean water business. I’m Purely intersted because I’m a dork.

@Matty123 , No problem. The slingshot is a much smaller water system. It produces 1000 Liters a day. What I put in produces 35 Liters a minute, typically. I'll put up a few photos. I have posted somewhere before First is a boost pump, then travels through a multi media filter, water softener, then an organic scavenger, which removes tannins from water.

Carbon tanks are next, then a UV light that kills bacteria, final filter prior to the RO.
-
Finally the RO which removes 99.9% of everything from water. After the RO it goes to a loop, through an endotoxin filter that removes dead bacteria. Also the RO heat disinfects nightly. -
Thanks @ROman that’s so interesting to me. I don’t know if you’ve seen the documentary “slingshot” but it was very good. Informative, the guy just wanted to give people the ability to have clean water. Thanks again

Playa del Carmen: in past trips, I've always stuck to bottled water. Curious what the contaminants are and whether I'd be in good shape using a backpacking water filter. If they are viral or mineral in nature I'll skip the filter. If they are largely bacterial in nature I'll bring it.

trying to plan out my trip to europe this year. probably spending a week in UK and a week in paris, maybe a day in brussels. i'll be doing a self drive trip. couple of questions for you season channel travellers.
1)how does the eurotunnel work? (is it fixed timing or if you get there earlier you can board an earlier train? is it worth crossing by boat instead? etc) i do really wanna see the white cliffs..
2)Parisian motorways.. (tolls and such?) besides driving on the wrong side of the road, i probably need to know how will it be different driving a UK registered vehicle in normal europe.
3)not sure if a trip to brussels is worth it…
thanks in advance..
