Wore my new 633s during the birth of my first kid. Was thinking about putting her initials on the leather patch somehow and keep the pair forever after im done wearing. Any thoughts on what to do to the leather? Permanent marker seems ok but not great

You can make a hot stamp with a clothes hanger and a torch or tool the initials in with leather stamps or tools.

two separate questions from a relative newb
I've seen people mark pocket bags, but other than that, how do people keep tracking of washes, soaks, and wears? I can hardly keep track of how many miles on cars between oil changes let alone something that requires near daily update. Are people using an app, google sheet, or something?
Similar to the how many pairs do you have in rotation thread; do people have a good system for how they rotate wear on all of their jeans other than lightweight/breathables in summer and the opposite in winter? Different pair everyday? Weekday/end jeans?

I just use the note app on my iphone for things like that.
Just 1 pair of jeans for me all day every day unless it is a chino or shorts day. So I can't really help on that but I reckon some of these lunatics will have some great insight into their rotation algorithms.

Thanks, @Graham. I tried keeping notes in my phone but I probably lack the discipline needed.
Right now I'm rotating every month or so because it's annoying for me to swap over belt/wallet/etc every time. Since it's the first day of September, this morning involved swapping out the 21oz for the UHRs.

@pechelman I’m sure others will have good systems for tracking and rotating but that level of obsession wouldn’t work for me. By all means do it if you want and it’s fun for you, but there’s nothing wrong with just wearing what you feel like (allowing for weather, work policies, etc) and washing whenever you feel the need. For me, this approach preserves the illusion that I can be spontaneous

I (in the main), only have one pair in rotation. I wash them when they smell or look dirty, and when I go through the right knee, I know I've had them for about a year.
However, I have had the slubs now for the best part of 15 months and have no knee-hole, so either I'm getting girly in my old-age, or the slubby is remarkably tough…...
