@popvulture Duly noted, but I did have a rough idea, my wife loves the WIP stuff and yeah I haven’t been tempted to borrow any of hers for work just yet there’s a few farming/construction based UK sites that stock a few duck pieces and the cheaper hoodies etc so looking good.. appreciate the heads up again too
-
@DeeDee85 IMO, the farming/construction websites/shops are one of the best balances for functional and cheap out there for workwear clothing.
One area I would not skimp on is boots. I have found cheap shoes/boots absolutely brutal on my back/feet/knees and will not compromise.
No problem throwing out a pair or $40/50 dollar jeans but will always spend more on a pair of boots so that I can walk comfortably at the end of a gruelling day.

@goosehd amen to that — I feel like these days I'm always remembering those times when my mom used to look at my Vans/Cons and say "you'll really regret taking care of your feet as you get older!" I always scoffed at it... shouldn't have, haha.
-
@goosehd 100% agree with you with the boots, I made that mistake as a young man too @popvulture I don’t skimp on my daughters footwear at 3 years old to try and drill it into her that she needs to take care of her feet in the future (annoyingly she only ever wants to wear wellies though)
Luckily as I’m under full contract employment we have an allowance for boots and can take a pair on my employers account at Arco every six months or so, he draws the line at pants though. My team usually go for Uvex boots, they also make safety eyewear and sunglasses etc.. they are by no means a good looking boot but have great anti slip/oil resistant sole/ankle support and great grip on a pitched roof which is the main thing we need obviously. Sorry for the rambling post.. -
Does anyone know if the IH CWU-45 jacket has a product page. I can’t seem to find anything other than a few fit pics from @denimhead
Im trying to see if I’d need a M or L. There are a couple on eBay I’m looking at but no mention of sizing.

@Matt Is that the jacket you're looking at?

Can't find any more info on it though, not even through archive.org and the old extinct section. -
Cool
Jacket @Matt -
@Matt cool! Then the next part begins how to smuggle it in the house
-
@Matt the boring company can do the trick for you
-
@sabergirl in the wild! Thank you. What size shorts do you usually go for. I was deciding between the M and the L based on my typically M shirts but sometimes I need to size up in jackets.
-
I feel like I’m gonna need one of these. Pesky enablers.

The two I’m seeing on eBay are M and L but I think one is a 12 and one is a 13. I like the M better, whichever it is, because it has a tan lining as opposed to the black one in the L. The L also has a Harley patch sewn onto the chest that I don’t feel like dealing with. I may pull the trigger on the M and flip it here if it doesn’t work. It’s priced pretty well so I think I’d make my money back without much trouble. Stay tuned all.

I’m looking for some nice pub recommendations in Dublin. I lived and worked in Ireland for a year after university and have been back to visit several times but haven’t spent a ton of time in Dublin. This trip will only be 5 days and only 2 of those days will be in Dublin but I’m always on the lookout for a great pint of Guinness. I’ve spent some time at a pub called Kehoes which was great but love other recommendations that I may not find on internet. First hand information is better than a random internet site. Thanks in advance!
