American Football (NFL)

@Jett129 thank you! Was a pretty fun game, but I am nervous about how the Tennessee pass rush got through our line so efficiently. Will certainly be the weak spot from now on. Either way, Bills or Chiefs, the AFC Championship has pretty epic downfield pass potential, so very much looking forward to watching that in NYC next weekend

I didn't get a chance to see any of the games yesterday. Cheers to Cinci winning, jeers to Buffalo losing… What a bummer.

Thoughts on the weekd:
Some of the best playoff football in a given weekend I've seen.
Really stupid move by the Bills to kickoff into the end zone. That gave Mahomes enough time to tie the game.
Really shitty overtime rules in the NFL strike again. It somewhat tarnished the game for me not to have Allen touch the football in OT.

Buffalo should have gone for the 2 point conversion after their final TD!

you called this one @Jett129
Mahomes is like Brady he's not done till you drive a stake through his heart.
Ask the Falcons. ??? -
I mean I'll just post the whole thing here. GOLD, Jerry–GOLD!
PITTSBURGH—Saluting the legacy of a quarterback who brought two Super Bowls to the city and did so much to local women, Pittsburgh honored a retiring Ben Roethlisberger Thursday with a new commemorative statue in a local women’s bathroom. “We can’t think of a more fitting tribute to this Pittsburgh hero than a monument towering over the women using the restroom at this bar,” said Mayor Ed Gainey, noting Roethlisberger’s outsized impact on the community that would inspire young players and therapy sessions for years to come. “Ben was unrelenting and tenacious on the field, and even more so off of it. He was famous for extending plays and never letting adversity in any form get him down. The one thing you could say about him, if you weren’t gagged by an NDA, was that he never took no for an answer.” At press time, the city had brushed off criticism of the statue by noting that it had recently become a born-again Christian.

If the WFT's new name is the Commanders, shit is weak and whack as hell. Why not the Red-Tailed Hawks? Or Red Wolves, Or RedRum? Commanders…sounds lame.

I mean could it at least be Captains if not Admirals? Why would they go in for that particular rank? And a naval rank seems like more of a Maryland than a DC thing (think Annapolis). That will definitely be a wide miss if it comes to be.

They could be more contemporary - the Washington Rioters
