Very pleased that my home state of Colorado elected the nation's first openly gay governor. Even more pleased that his sexuality was in no way a topic of discussion in either campaign nor within the general public discourse. Credit to his opponent for not attempting to make an issue of it as well.

@Giles that Ryan air letter was speaking for anyone who has ever had the misfortune of flying with them.
After my last flight with them nearly 10 years ago I vowed never to fly with them again. I am happy to say I have kept my word. I have paid more for flights but I couldn't care less as I refuse to give them my money!

@mclaincausey - feel free to stop by and introduce yourself sometime if you ever find yourself in Boulder! I was actually talking about this with my roommates this morning. To be honest, I didn't even know this information until the results were already pouring in. Like you said, bravo to the opposition for not stepping there.

I stopped into Self Edge LA today to look at some Good Art Hollywood rings. I love the lock of the rocklock ring but my fingers are just too thin to sport this manly chunk of silver. If you have a ring size of 11, you should pick this guy up!
While I was there, I asked if they had the IHSH-177. I have the IHSH-178 in a large but always suspected I should have picked up a medium instead. Sure enough, the IHSH-177 medium fit like a dream. I ended up walking out of the store with the IHSH-178 in a medium and now I have to sell my IHSH-178 in large. So much stuff to sell…
I did notice that this particular IHSH-178 had silver/grey (not shiny) buttons compared to the copper buttons of my IHSH-178. Did those change between batches?

I think they overdyed them resulting in the silver color.
The buttons themselves are overdyed?! That's bananas! How does one overdye a button?? I figured the fabric was overdyed first then sewn together, buttons added much later in the process, so that the fabric overdye process wouldn't affect the buttons.

Jet's right- the overdyeing happens after the garment is made. It's a pretty aggressive process, with lots of heat, agitation, and chemicals, so sometimes the hardware changes appearance significantly.
