Yes, I do find them quite hot. The fabric has a tight weave so it doesn't breathe as well as others. On warm days, I find my 777s-21 more comfortable than these.

@RJScheuerle mine were also very tight when new. There was some stretch after a few wears but not as much as with the flagship 21 oz.

If they're still uncomfortable after a week or so, you could try more extreme measures to stretch them. Some around here have used car jacks for instance--apparently those can do wonders, as long as you're careful.

@Denimmacdaily congrats on a great first purchuse! Looks great! These were my first IH pair too, and like yours they are the comfiest and best fitting pair of jeans I've ever owned.

Slowly but surely:

@bromp no I didn't soak these. They're one-washed I think so shrinkage should be negligible.

@Vintagedenim yes, an initial soak and 4 or 5 machine washes, usually after every 100-120 wears or so.
