If it helps, I’m 6’ and 202lbs and wear an XL in UHF’s. I would go for an L in these to wear over a tee.

Okay, so you advise to size down from your UHF size? Looking at the measurements that was my initial thought too..
thank you for your help!

Well, I’m not advising anything, you can draw your own conclusions. I do have some experience with sweatshirts from IH which I’m happy to share. I own three hoodies (two zipped, one pullover) and the IHSW-34. They share similar proportions in that they are comfortably cut horizontally but quite short vertically.
As long as you’re happy with the waistband sitting around belt height (which would be my preference) then the M should fit you well.

thank you I appreciate your input. went with the medium as I also like a shorter jacket in this style

My pleasure and a great purchase. I’d like one myself. Let us now how it works out.

Giles wears what size? Inquiring minds on a very very very snowy day here in western New York–-about 22 inches of snow in the past 24 hours.

Giles wears L or used to at any rate.
Depending on ones height, some people can afford to size down with these. They are comfortably wide in the body and relatively short. If you want a trimmer fit over chest and shoulders and can afford to have the waistband sitting a little further up your body then sizing down may work.
-
Giles does wear L, but would prefer it to be longer in the body. Adding a long-bodied option to some of our more popular cut and sewn is something we are exploring at the moment.
This is great news!
Please have a look at the hood as well. It's too short small to be of use.
The sleeve length could also be an inch longer ;).
-
Longer length would mean that I could wear way more cut and sewn. Thanks for considering adding this. I know that it is not traditional, but some of us just have long torsos. Traditional cuts in many sweats look like crop tops on me. This is an exciting prospect (the longer options, not the crop tops [emoji51]).
