Iron Heart Products - What do you think we should make?
-
Lots in this topic so I imagine this had been mentioned before, but I wish the long sleeve shirts/flannels had longer tails. I know that’s a hard one because everyone is different heights, but I like tucking in sometimes, and the sides always seem to pull out. You’ll never please everyone on a length of a shirt and you can’t make the same shirt with multiple lengths. I guess I could always try wearing my pants higher [emoji3].
I’m the opposite and think IH shirts are the perfect length. I don’t tuck my shirts and am not a fan of extra length on my tops

They showed a segment on Good Morning America on how to make a mask. When describing the fabric, they said the thicker the better.
The masks that I bought on Etsy are 2 layers with a filter pocket for extra protection. I’ve read that a tight weave outer and flannel inner layer are ideal.

I really like the idea of a face mask. Plus, it's consistent with cycle gear so it just makes sense that Iron Heart should have a face/dust mask in its catalog.
I was thinking the other day how cool it would be to have an IH face mask that uses snaps. I figured since there appears to be a shortage on elastic bands some sort of tie, snap or clasp might be a good alternative. But, everyone's got different head sizes so may not be worth it.
I wonder if @Giles or someone from the IH crew could download a face mask pattern and have a go at making a face mask using denim scraps?

I want more coasters before we get masks!

If Iron Heart made the perfect article of clothing for your profession, what would you have them make and in what material?
I'd ask for an Overdyed 18oz. denim short sleeve chef's coat.
How about you?
Maybe it's own thread could work @neph93
editing to include:
-pearl snaps (brass may get too hot)
-Left sleeve pockets for Pen, Sharpie, highlighter and Thermometer -
^ nice idea… I would need a modified vest, detachable lining and a custom pocket array. I need to think about the details some more.
This may need it’s own thread @jordanscollected

Here's a request to do this Chinos - https://www.ironheart.co.uk/bottoms/ih-721-kha.html
in Olive or Dark Brown or Sky Blue? Any ideas we would see them in the future?

A jacket with indigo sleeves and OD black body
Not that I decide, but I’m not sure there is a market for that. A jacket run has to be at least 60 items to make it worthwhile and selling enough may be tough. Of course, you could go old school and buy a black type III vest to go over an indigo type III jacket.
That would be an amazing combo for sure…dammit Neph.
Now you've got me thinking -
In addition to a black storm rider, my other suggestion would be chinos in a cut similar to the IH-888 jeans in all the different chino colors (ivory, khaki, navy, black)
-
I second that. The current cut for the chinos doesn't work for the bigger thigh crowd.

Many, many years ago, I received a tape measure as part of a loyalty scheme through Rapha, Imperial Works. The box and printed note inside really emphasised the brand and its focus on sizing. I think if IH made something like this they would be very popular given the 'lengths' (excuse the pun) you go to on showing us all how to measure our kit. Might even help reduce the number of returns. Figure most people have a tape, but a well made cloth one is something else. Since I've joined this wonderful forum, I for one have returned to using this piece of kit at least once a week. Think a IH version would be a very welcome product hidden into the accessory section.

Very good idea @GC .
