@Nkwkfld I dig it
-
Thanks all!
Agreed DrPat about sleeves and waist when buttoned.
I appreciate everyone’s comments and am trying to find something with a kind of easy messy look but this is not the one. Can’t say it immediately works like some recent IH purchases so this has now been sent back

@Nkwkfld I think it's a cool look. That said, if you're looking for a shawl and this one didn't quite pass muster, have you seen the Dehen 1920 shawls? I think they look great!

Prob i have with the dehens is they’re so damn heavy they are really more of outerwear.

@Nkwkfld I have a varsity jacket that looks awesome unbuttoned and a tad goofy when done up. Sometimes the nature of the beast…
-
I think the sizing is good, but the lines of the cardigan look to fall better when it's unbuttoned. If it were mine, I'd wear it unbuttoned as an outer layer for slightly cooler weather, and wear it buttoned up as a base layer under a topcoat or heavier jacket for colder weather.
-
And just as pants, 99.99% of the time I'd rather them be or feel too long than too short. Cuff 'em and rock 'em!

Iron heart does black tie dinner, question is: off colour chore coat or black type 3?
-
Chore coat looks good
-
Cheers both, I'm leaning towards the type 3 to be fair @neph93 for the silhouette and monochromeness
-
I love the chore coat but agree with Reuben that the outfit looks more put together with the black type III. Solid fit
-
Thanks @Joberwocky - the Mrs agrees
-
@LewisStonehouse if it’s not too late, another vote for pic 2 (but with eyebrows from pic 1 ;)). There’s no way I could get away with this but I think you can and the Type 3 definitely looks more tailored. Although many of the style cues are very different, the high/suppressed waist made me think of a mess jacket.

I vote black type 3.
