…was watching an old B&W movie (1950) with Burt Lancaster 'Mr.880' and at one point they uncorked a bottle of Liebfraumilch/ German sweet wine. So I went to the big dog liquor store in town and this was the 'only' thing they had in stock, shipping issues with Germany with many issues at play. Bought four bottles.

...for after the Sunday Pub Day excursion.

Picked this up for a dear friend’s upcoming birthday, which he shares with my daughter. He and his wife are backup godparents to my sister—they are family. I’ve recently gotten him into mezcal, as he loves scotch and cocktails and I knew he’d dig mezcal. So I grabbed him this bottle and it was all I could do not to grab one myself. This cactus tends to foam a lot during fermentation and can even explode, damaging fermentation equipment. So it’s not used all too often.

I believe they are coming in town to jointly celebrate his birthday and my daughter’s first birthday, so I will get a taste then. If I don’t go back and buy another bottle for myself first

Had Vodka infused with cucumber and it was pretty good.
