I'm feeling pretty gutted that Better Call Saul and the Breaking Bad saga is finally over. I won't discuss any spoilers here… But damn :c

Ungh. Cant watch till tonight. No spoilers please.
We actually started re-watching BB to get caught up on the storyline between the 2.

Love Wrexham, documentary series with Rob McIlhenny and Ryan Reynolds’s buying the team with the mission of them getting promoted ASAP.

"The Resort" on Peacock.
I just finished this show last night. Anyone else watch it? What's starts as a couple on vacation to rekindle their marriage at a Mexican resort, quickly turns into a mystery solving journey with some time travel elements about
2 missing teens. It takes place across 2 simultaneous timelines, 15 years in the past and present day.Though their was some frustrating unanswered questions, I found myself very content at the end and enjoyed the watch.
weird, funny, fun, strange, gorgeous setting, great acting.

@neph93 and @Oaktavia I highly recommend Cyberpunk Edgerunners on Netflix. I know R is a big fan of the movie Akira. The anime gets off to a slow start in the first three episodes. Some of the terminology they use in the anime might not make sense either unless you play the game. But the final two episodes are completely nuts. Like everything in the Cyberpunk game cranked to 11. I'd at least watch those if not the entire thing. Each episode is very short.
Extremely Not-safe-for-work not kid friendly. The anime is full of drug use, nudity, and EXTREME gore.
This is the first few minutes of the show and is also a Brain Dance available in the game:
(You'll have to veiw this on YouTube because playback is disabled)

Excellent. It's such a crazy story. The animation is incredible.

I found a glossary of the slang terms they use in Cyberpunk to help you understand what they are talking about in the anime @neph93

https://upcomer.com/dont-be-a-corpo-cyberpunk-2077-slang-detailedNice. Although I’ll watch it without first. The best sci-fi dumps you straight in without explaining its own weirdness. I hate unnessecary exposition designed to teach you about the world and love working it out myself.

Finished the excellent Snowfall series 5, and now on Raising Kanan series 2, the East Coast antithesis to Snowfall.

Anyone else watch "The Recruit" on Netflix?
What a fun, crazy, fast paced, brilliantly shot show. I sure hope they make a second season and don't cancel it like so many shows these days.

@jordanscollected I currently do when working out. It's indeed fairly witty, and I'd like to see more of it.

Watched the first season of The Peripheral on Amazon. I enjoyed it, but…
I don't understand why adaptations make some of the changes that they do. Some things don't translate well between mediums, and I understand changing those. But others seem changed for change's sake. I guess producers want to put their own stamp on things? Maybe they think they're better writers?
As always, the book is better, and not just because books are a superior medium to TV and film insofar as they engage the imagination more. As a huge William Gibson fan, I came into it with very low expectations and an understanding that it couldn't match what Gibson put in my head, so I was able to cope with the license they took with the material, even if I didn't understand why they did in some cases. All in all, recommended, and if I'm trying to be fair, highly recommended, because not everyone is obsessed with Gibson and will have as critical an eye as mine. Then again, among his fanbase, I think I'm probably a pretty tame critic and more willing to accept shortcomings.
I hear they're going to try and adapt Neuromancer to TV or film, which is exciting and dreadful. The Sprawl trilogy has always struck me as an insanely difficult adaptation.

Big fan of dystopian sci fi and particularly cyberpunk and especially William Gibson.
Not a huge anime guy so will have to see how that lands when I get back on Netflix.
Enjoyed S2 of "The White Lotus"
