WHAT ARE YOU DOING TODAY (PICS)
-
beautiful shots, @tody
-
thank you, @weftyarn - coming from the master of photography, that's nice to hear
I blame it on the iPhone camera, though. The built in camera software kind of shoots the photos on its own. I just try to maintain symmetry. But the light is always fantastic with the sun and the beach. In other news: The seal pup could be saved, we're going to visit the rescue station when we're back in Feburary.

A pic from the trails this weekend.
Today is day 2 of a pretty wonderful snow event. I could stare out the window all day.
-
Took Hattie to the Denver Children's Museum. Total Petri dish in that joint as you'd expect, so once the outdoor riding mower captivated her unbounded attention, I was in no hurry to move along

@Madame Buttonfly and I are in Menorca, we have come here primarily to check on the progress of MV SAKURA (which means making ours selves a PITA with the builders). But we have lot of other things to do and we have fallen in love with Menorca, out of season it is quiet and cheap - and stunningly beautiful. It is thus far my favourite Mediterranean Island, bar none.
This morning, we went
Venus and Mars'ingshopping. Paula did bedding, I did liferafts.
Sorry, I forgot to take pics of sheets….
Afterwards, we went to look at some of the Talayotic remains which exist on the Island, there are 100's of these across Menorca.
I can't tell you how much I loved this place....
I'm a sucker for steps built into dry-stone walls….
The cistern and washing area…
Paula, worshipping some random deity, or doing an " @twin "

Afterwards, we drove to Cuitadella for a quick refreshment.
I fell in love with this building, I think what made it so special for me was the sympathetic use of UPVC double-glazing in the windows above the entrance. Fucking vandals…..
I'm also a sucker for covered walkways, a Portico in Italian (bologna is famous for them)…
-
Think it's fair to say we are incredibly lucky with the weather
-
Looks like a wonderful place to visit. Must add to my bucket list for some winter sun.

After playing boats:

We took a trip up to the third largest town in Menorca, Alaior, because we wanted to see the church that dominates the surrounding countryside….
The simplicity of this arched roof is a joy to behold…No ostentatious my-cojones-are-larger-than-yours architectural pomposity....
-
Not an architect or art historian, but it is interesting to see those Romanesque arches instead of Gothic ones. I looked it up and based on when it was built, I think pointed arches would have been the dominant style. So I would think it is unusual to have that style from that era and in such pristine condition.
Glad y;all are enjoying your adventure!

Man that looks like heaven to me! So cool.

Did @Madame Buttonfly join the 'Last Generation' and glued herself to that stone ???

The zoo!
