IH-888-XHSMB - 25oz Selvedge Denim Medium/High Rise Tapered Cut - Mad Black
-
@Giles How different does this denim feel/wear right out of the gate compared to the regular overdyed denim?
-
They feel more or less identical to the regular overdyed, the denim is afterall identical. The difference is predominantly in the colour to start with and in turn how they will age.
See here comparing 21oz-OD to 21oz-MB

thanks @Alex that's a great comparison pic.
"I'm overdyed black!" -regular OD's
"hold my beer" -Mad Black
a really cool concept that will generate intrigue here.

@Alex got it, thank you. I'd be all over the XHSMB in a 555 or a 777. thanks again for the F/W 20 zoom meeting. it was a great way to see the new product.

I am 25oz fan and own 4 but I am not feeling this new color/concept . Maybe a hit with some!

Could these have an easier break-in/stretch like the 21od since the description says twice overdyed?
-
@Kasi Or at least the 777.

I've never understood the lack of interest in black denim. It looks great and it's practical. I get that people want to fade things but a solid pair of black jeans is a must have in everyone's wardrobe.
Paul, these should get much crazier than just black over time I'm thinking but might take a LONG time.
You going to go for these also? I'm loving my IH-888S-SBG just a little worried these will be too similar.. debating on going with the XHSib instead.

I don't know what to expect from these. If they stay solid black, awesome. If they fade in unexpected ways, awesome I'm definitely copping these!
I have a pair of 21oz SB that I mistakenly bought way too tight. It was the last one available. I stretched the waist 2 solid inches but even then, it's too tight for comfort.
I love the SBG! But there's something about the 25oz…
The XHSib is an amazing fabric! It fades in this really great turquoise like bright blue. I think that there's more interest in the XHSib than the XHSMB so if I had to choose, I'd go with the XHSMB. If it doesn't do well, it might not be re-run.
