Iron Heart WAYWT - 2021 Edition
-
That's a great-looking flannel Mike.
You may be allergic to lanolin @Filthy unless other non-alpaca wool doesn't feel itchy. I wouldn't typically expect a blend of those wools to be itchy.
I got an RRL shirt recently that was on sale. It was a jacquard native print buttondown that looked cool on Instagram, which has recommended a couple of great purchases (and has been removed from my phone ).
The jacquard shirt is cool, aside from some unexpected shirring and blousing on the sleeves that give it a little too much of a 19th century vibe for my preferences, and the fabric having kind of a synthetic hand, but it's not Iron Heart and I have not worn it yet.
I think they have some really great designs and a great aesthetic overall, and IMO they take some inspiration from Iron Heart and to a lesser extent perhaps Mister Freedom. I think they are overpriced relative to IH, but the garment is nice and has nice details.

I suppose itchy is the wrong word… Because I wear merino wool socks every day. But it feels like getting a haircut and wearing the same shirt afterwards all day. Like the end of the hair pokes my skin.

Looking great @momo73. I really wish i could tuck in shirts, but my body just isn't made for it. Hard to explain but it just doesn't work out.
Agreed on the great vest. Having the 211 duck cpo, i know how amazing IH duck truly is.

@jordanscollected love the pants! What are those?

Thanks @Paul9221! I have a hard time leaving IH denim at home to wear them.
They are made by a small brand called Iron and Resin out of Ventura, CA. They make menswear for the biker, outdoorsman, rugged guy, etc.
They admittedly over extended themselves on their offerings, and a ton of stuff ended up on deep discount. They reinvented the brand just a month or 2 ago and released their fall lineup. it's alright. They are similar to Filson, in that they produce some items in the USA, but outsource most to china.
These 12 oz "Bull Denim" chinos (I don't know what that term means) were made in the USA, are thick, soft and well constructed, and were purchased for about $30 on aforementioned discount. I wouldn't have paid their $140 list price, but for $30 they'd be tough to beat.
The fatigue shirt below is a made in china jungle cloth or whipcord that is pretty well made by them too.
It's not Iron heart quality, nor remotely close, but it wet the whistle when it needed wetting. -
@momo73 another great pairing! Love your combinations and color coordination theyre always on point.
@den1mhead nice fit on the denim. is that the ignition stretch denim?
