@Matt one for Katie (to make up for September 2022)?
-
Blue Eye Samurai on Netflix. Is awesome. That is all.
-
@endo not yet, but it’s on our watch list. Recommended?
-
@pechelman intrigued. Mrs H and I are halfway through, and if the baby wasn’t going to be up at dawn we’d be powering through to finish it. Mrs H even said that she wishes we hadn’t made plans for NYE tomorrow as she just wants to see what happens next.
-
@pechelman ok, Mrs H and I just finished it. I can see why you have concerns, but after that season 1, I think the show has earned the benefit of the doubt with where they’re taking it. One of the best bits of telly to come out of 2023. Maybe my favourite.

We love Reacher. Just the right balance of mind numbing action, procedural, conspiracy, etc.
I thought Blue Eyed Samurai was entertaining and would watch subsequent seasons.

My wife and I have been watching "Marry My Husband" on Prime. It's Korean, and it's heartbreaking and funny and dramatic. Some of the scenes are are so beautiful and intricately shot and well thought out, I'm not quite sure I've seen anything to compare it to. The character building is phenomenal, and the actors nail their roles.

I'm in the middle of Season 2, I really like it. The two films with Tom Cruise were already quite well made, but this series I like even better.

@tody and @mclaincausey you both have to be bullshitting me. Reacher has the worst written dialogue in any recent show I've seen. It's laughably predictable and unoriginal.
I also love it and my wife and I watch it as destination TV. Me for Dixon, her for my reaction to Dixon.
