@RobeOfTheMagi love the wire! especially Omar and The Greek, the best anti hero
-
@Giles another vote for Blue Lights here. One of the best police dramas I have seen in years.
-
@endo Fallout was pretty decent. A few plotholes (or, at least, unexplained goings-on) if you go back and think about earlier events after the big reveals in the final episode, which have made me think less of it after finishing it.
Maybe a second watch is in order to see if there is an explanation for some of the events or character interactions that I missed on the first watch.
-
Anyone started anything good? I just finished Fallout which was great!
-
@IrishHeart agreed it was really good. I was a little turned off by the obsessive anti-polite barrage in the first few episodes (throwing stuff at their cars and chasing them off mob style), but the dropped the schtick and the show was really good.
Line of Duty is one of my all time favorite police dramas and this held its own.
-
@jiminstitches did you watch Colin from Accounts? Pretty damn funny Australian comedy/drama
-
@jordanscollected I’ll check it out! I just watched the first episode of The Cleaner, another Australian black comedy that seems promising.
-
@jordanscollected glad you enjoyed it. The anti police violence was a major part of the troubles in Northern Ireland and even since the Good Friday Agreement there are communities that have no time or trust in them.
The Police force there have said that this show is the most accurate reflection of their day to day working life that has been shown on TV. -
@jordanscollected couldn’t agree more. Really good show and I have recommended to friends.
-
@jiminstitches continuing the Australian theme have you watched Wilfred? IMO probably one of the most underrated series - the US version has Elijah Wood and it is darkly hilarious (the trailer is a bit shit:
) -
@Inorganic wow, haven't thought about Wilfred in years! Going to give it a rewatch.
-
I just started watching from the beginning last week — loving it so far. Got some catching up to do!
-
@MQR - Nava Mau (Toni) is an another interesting individual who has lived their character, which adds yet another level of reality to the BR story telling.
-
@Nocturama ah i see, well that explains the amazing overall of the show
-
@sabergirl my wife and I both loved seasons 1 & 2 of Hacks. Looking forward to this season now

Mrs H and I started Shogun last night. First episode was great, looking forward to the rest, heard nothing but praise.
