WAKE UP AND COFFEE
-
@JunkPants I was the same - the one I wanted was out of stock for ages. I use a French press in the week as it’s quick and easy when I need to get out the door but when I have more time it’s either my Walküre or the syphon.
-
@ARNC I'll get to it at some point, too cool a contraption not to
-
-
@long_john86 Nice! I like the architectural mug too.
-
Catching some UVA this morning with the tittie mug
-
@Mister_Brue Cheers yeah it’s cool, part of a set
-
@Brock Everyone needs at least one tittie mug in their life right?
-
Most certainly!
-
First and most certainly not the last of the day!
-
One to go!
-
So cool! You must be able to share outfits all the time!
-
@twin This one of you two just makes me smile (and want a coffee).
-
@long_john86 A good reminder to get my Aeropress out. V60 seems to win every time for pure quantity (not to the detriment of quality of course).
-
@Mister_Brue Ah yes, quantity is a must! I find myself brewing/double brewing a lot with this. Never tried the V60 - any particular product/approach you would recommend?
-
@RobeOfTheMagi Only if I can get him to wear Iron Heart more often.
-
@Mister_Brue We have coffee almost every day. Love going out for breakfast.
-
@long_john86 We have a Hario Ceramic V60 dripper (size 02), and a Hario V60 Glass Coffee Server (the Michelin Man looking one) size 02.
Scales are a must. We have Acaia Pearl scales, but Hario also do their own.
A gooseneck kettle is also super handy, if not quite a prerequisite. We used to have the Hario one, until someone accidentally placed it on a hot hob and melted it. We now have a Dualit one.
I always make a 510g coffee, alone or to share. This is with 30g of ground beans (x17). We used to time the pour for extraction, but now I just tend to pour at a steady rate. My wife will make a smaller one just for her (10g of beans/170g sized coffee).
Lots of recipes/techniques on YouTube to geek out on if you need other ideas. Great way to make coffee though… ️
