The Iron Heart 20th Anniversary Party

If we make it and any of you speak to my wife please tell her you also thought Jason Momoa was supposed to be there. I may have stretched the truth a bit in my efforts to get her in board.
I believe he's single now, so you might be playing with fire on that one.

It’s fine. He’s both of our marriage mulligans so someone’s getting a pretty special vacation.
Father in laws on board. We’re going to try to book flights and hotel tonight. We need passports. I hope I don’t have to pay extra to have them expedited. Anyone know the current wait time on processing those?

We just got new ones for our kids a couple of months ago- only took about six weeks or so.

@Matt we just did expedited passports and they got them to us day-of, like 3 hours after we went into the office. We have an expedited passport center here in Denver (Aurora, technically: not sure where the closest one to you is–I think there may be one in El Paso). Expediting was a $60 premium and it was like $300 all-in for two passports.
You have to have an international trip within something like two weeks (say it is an important business trip) and you have to make an appointment. Definitely come with passport photos (can get those at Kinko's) and make sure you have all the requisite documentation. So we booked a flight to Mexico, got the wife's passport updated and the daughter's issued, and cancelled the fully-refundable flight.
There are third-party services, but I'd rather just save some money and go to the feds.
Even if you don't really need an expedited passport, I don't trust how slow everything can be with COVID and think it' worth just going to a passport agency and getting one day-of.

If Jason Momoa isn’t there, does that make him Jason… No-moa?

Fares have been coming down, over the past 3 - 4 weeks. I told myself, if I got a price within $100 of what I paid 3 years ago, I'd take it. Well, British Airways came through, again. $647/roundtrip, non-stop in both directions, checked bag included…..
The fare is $90 more than I paid last time. But, with the higher fuel prices, and inflation factored in, I'm likely getting equal value, if not better, than before.
With my flight and lodging in order, all I need is my rental car. I'm close to locking that up, as well.
For those in the US, start paying attention, the next few weeks will likely be the best time to book…
