IH-888SBR-14od - 14oz Broken Twill Selvedge Denim Medium/High Rise Tapered Cut

First time wearing these. Can’t wrap my head around how soft these are. Definitely worn in 21Oz level of comfort but straight out the box. All that with a substantially lighter overall feel. Definitely breathable too.
And the OD color is amazing. I see me dressing these up for casual business meetings a lot as long as they keep the color.

@Heavy_blue they’re pretty damn soft. But I’m too fat for them right now so I need to lose some weight to wear them lol
-
Some proper fit pics. It’s interesting to see how different the fit can turn out depending on fabric and run. These definitely run a bit slimmer through the leg than my UHR &
21Oz which compliments the fabric imo. -
First signs of wear

@weftyarn we always seem to buy the same pants. Ever since that last post I’ve gone a low carb diet and my bloating has gone down a lot so they actually fit pretty damn good now. Can’t wait to wear these. I’ll post a fit pic soon

Everyone's pairs look so good! I'm super close to pulling the trigger... looking at the measurements (and considering I primarily want them for these hot ass days) I was thinking of going from 34 to 35 on them. Did anyone else size up at all or just go with your usual 888 sizing?
-
@trivsdotcom I went for my usual size and they’re perfect. You will absolutely love these pants. It’s the softest denim I’ve ever felt

@Choko That’s so true haha. I was literally thinking the same when I saw you in this thread too.
Glad to hear you starved yourself back into this pair! Can’t wait to see fit pics.
@trivsdotcom I also went for the same size (34) as my other 888s (21OZ & Ducks). Totally happy with the slim fit but I have to say the SBRs are the ones I could probably get away with upsizing to 35.

@Choko the things we do for denim…& health

Traveling today. These are the most comfortable pants I have from Iron Heart straight out of the bag. They almost feel like they have stretch. 100% recommend! -
Excellent @Choko
Wore mine today too -
I bought a pair of these a few weeks ago in the same waist measurements as my beloved IH-888-XHSib and they have been awful to wear. It feels like I’ve got a rash or sunburn on my stomach where the top of the jeans rest against my skin, it’s unpleasant enough that I don’t even like wearing them. There’s no visible rash or marks on my skin, but it sure feels irritated. I don’t believe it’s size related, they are almost identical to my XHS and those NEVER had issues like this.
Any ideas? I’m truly baffled. I have a ton of IH denim including an OD jacket, none of those bug me. I don’t get how these could be far less comfy than my 25oz….. -
@nrtphotos Have you given them a wash? Maybe you're sensitive to the overdye?
I have the overdyed broken twill work jacket (which is great ) and haven't had a problem, but a jacket won't have as much direct skin contact. Personally I have somewhat sensitive skin (and react to certain detergents etc), but I've never had a problem with anything from Iron Heart.

If your size is still available, buy these jeans! Still the softest denim I own -
@Choko I just took your advice!

Definitely would like to document; after receiving and wearing these jeans for a few days, they are by far my most comfortable pair. -i have many of iron hearts different denims- Really looking forward to seeing if they hold up with the same durability as the standard 14oz. Really impressed with these and glad i grab a pair. Thank you Alex for you assistance and patience

My pair arrived and I have to agree with everyone who remarked how soft these are. Incredible fabric. The metal hardware is tarnished which I assume is a function of the over dying process. I read a few OD threads but didn’t see that discussed.
-
You are correct. The buttons get that weathered look from the overdying process. All OD models have the buttons look that way..i personally like how the buttons look.
