Learning moments in my denim journey

@Brandrea said in Learning moments in my denim journey:
What tends to happen is that I hover over my size and see the stock dwindling before me very eyes and I say fu*% it, and I’d hit the buy button.
Read out loud to Paula....
-
@Giles and … those sneaky re-stock alerts
-
- Don’t let purchase decisions be influenced too much by how items look on someone else - this took me a long while to realise that just cause X looks good on someone else doesn’t mean X looks good on me.
- Trial and error is key to finding the perfect jean cut - measurements are very helpful but will only get you so far. I was convinced I would never look good in the 634 cut and always tried to aim for (to my mind at the time) more “youthful” cuts like the 777. But I look so much better in the 634 than I have in any other cut.
- There are many good brands with different flavours out there, but all roads lead to IH.

@sabergirl I love you, but holy hell is that an 80’s flashback ️
Edit: And yes, I did own a pair or two of acid wash in the day
-
Acid wash, stone wash, Jams shorts, and even parachute pants. The eighties were… interesting…
-
@sabergirl wow those are amazing! Made my eyes pop out my head for a sec there.
-
@sabergirl i think we need to see them modeled to get the full effect.
-
@goosehd oh me too. Also had Jordan’s tho so that’s cool
-
@sabergirl just overdye them - black, purple, olive, whatever they will look good
