IHSH-62-ind - 12oz Wabash Western Shirt - Indigo

The large would surely swim on me. I guess Wabash softens up, right? Any stretch? Thanks in advance.
Agreed this is the best fit. A good illustration of how a smaller shoulder can be mitigated by a wider chest. Sleeve and body length are great.
It won’t really stretch, it will soften, but only after a lot of wear and many washes. I wore my ‘68 over a number of years as an actual work shirt for doing actual work in. It ended up
incredibly soft, it does take time though.A 60C wash will give it about 1cm of shrinkage, a 30C wash won’t trouble it at all.
Well done, sir!

Got my shirt today!
This shirt is totaly amazing, but i´m not sure about the size…
I ordered the same size as mine Johnny Cash shirt.
The size on the wabash is slightly larger than the size on the Johnny Cash.
I ordered XXL...
The arms are a little bit to long and the shirt is a little bit longer as the johnny.
What do you think about this? Wash it the first time and hope it shrinks a little bit on the arms and the length?
Or sent it back for a XL?
The size around the belly is perfect. ::)
Thanks for your help. -

The size around the belly is perfect. ::)These will definitely shrink with a hot wash. Looking at your IHSH-218, if you are happy with the fit of that, I’d do a hot wash. Most of what you lose will come from the arms and length.
To be on the safe side I would thoroughly soak your shirt with the shower head then put it straight in the machine, inside out. Wash at 60C on very low spin.
I’ve actually washed Wabash at 90C to get all the shrinkage out. It is quite effective.
Before you do that, you can measure you 218 the IH way and use the compare function on the website, that way you’ll find out how close the XL is to your 218.

@MichaelMcFly don't size down. I had the same experience with my Wabash and after a hot wash it's perfect. My sleeves were just like yours and same with the body length. Keep it, wash it, and love it. The hot wash will bring the sleeve openings in a bit too and will help with the cuffs wanting to fall down over your hands.
Check out my before and after pics below.

Cold wash line dry for me because I’m a long old guy. I think this is my favorite IH shirt.

Perfect decision.Good to hear. The wabash is fairly predictable like that and it is nice to have the option to dial your fit in with a wash. If you ever feel like you want more, a 90C wash will probably give you that and the wabash tolerates a hot wash without taking damage.

Took a photo for social media and figured I would share here. My wabash shirt arrived this afternoon. What a substantial friggin shirt. I had no idea how much my IHSH-110, which is also 12oz denim western, had softened up! Woo this thang is nice. This winter will be focused on breaking in this shirt and my IHJ-72.

That's a serious hand tattoo if I have ever seen one. @Oaktavia
Sweet outfit, and your house looks awesome. Like Little House on the Prairie or something.

Hah…I tend to get carried away sometimes. I tattooed the black on myself. Lots of bourbon involved.
Thanks...I have been eyeing a wabash shirt for sometime now. Love everything about it.
It is a historic home in downtown Frederick, Maryland. A lot of the old large houses have been divided into multiple smaller units and called "apartments". Duplexes cut four ways and additions built on the backsides. I'm just happy I got the unit with the porch.

Bourbon? I'll bet you bled like a stuck pig.
