Random Love (anti-rants)

The whole thing with the OD flannels was such a positive experience for me.
It’s a masterclass on how to overnight turn something that most high fashion brands would consider failure into success (just base on the comments people on the forum made about OD SAX). I will not name the effing companies that would just burn things to create false sense of scarcity. In contrast IH created a product that has not resonated fully with broader audience but You guys turned it into an opportunity. Now You have the data on how much UHF to order (if I remember that was the goal with UHF volumes for FW22) and a new exciting lineup of OD UHF.
Well done @Alex !!! -
Huge thanks to @Graham for helping me out when a shipment of multiple orders was swallowed whole by the UPS monster! Fortunately everything was still in stock and could be replaced. Thanks again!

@mclaincausey Impressive collection! What are the two shirts to the left of the 299/309 purple classic check? I guess I'm too much of a newbie to be familiar with these.
-
@mclaincausey that’s a beautiful collection man
-
@mclaincausey this simultaneously makes me feel a lot better about my IH shirt problem and excited for the weekend (UK temps set to be about 10°C cooler than last weekend). Probably unintentional, but thanks!

I was just curious about how these tags come about. I find these language quirks on labels and instructions to be rather genuine and endearing and not a flaw in the least. It somehow signifies an acceptance of foreign culture as it is, embracing the back and forth exchange of old American heritage as it travels around the world from concept, to creator, to distributor, and back again, picking up its own character with each part of its journey. Much like the clothes themselves do.

@WhiskeySandwich I’m with you. Absolutely love the translations and the authenticity that comes with them.

I love these too — imho the best quirk about Japanese items. Also funny that it sort of the only quirk, as almost every other aspect of Japanese heritage output is far from a quirk and more just an improvement on the original. But yep, it’s an endearing mark of the filter it’s been run through.
My favorite is Rolling Dub Trio’s “The Boots on Sincerity.” Also love this AMAZING hair stuff I have called Fiber Grease, which has all sorts of great stuff on the package. “Be fiber! Instatly!”

It reminds me of this Tom Green bit he did in Tokyo
