Knives Out was terrific! Good ole murder mystery.

HOLY COW where does one begin… First of all: there were some crazy cars in this flick!.. And cuts... Details... Tarantino being Tarantino...
I never liked Dicaprio... To me he always felt like a sober Liotta... But he delivers here... And Pitt does as well...
Man I loved every god-dang second of this movie... Laughed so hard as well... And concerning the ending: WHO THE HELL DOESN'T LIKE AN ENDING LIKE THAT?!?!?
A sober Liotta @Seul you should be paid to review movies! I never liked Leo either. And the cars were great -
Once Upon a Time in Hollywood was excellent. Watched Ford v Ferrari again this weekend and it has some slow moments but overall I’d recommend it.

Yeah FvF was terrific.

Finally got around to seeing that one last weekend, myself. I enjoyed it a lot.

Dora and the Lost City of Gold. Much weirder than I expected.
-
Hellboy (the reboot)
‘Twas alright I guess but kinda pointless.

We watched Uncut Gems. I really liked it, Sarah not so much. I really like the way the tension built. The Safdie brothers kept a sense of chaos and threat throughout the films without the use of violence. Adam Sandler was great. His character was so deliberately annoying and so well acted.
@den1mhead I'll have to give that film a go. It's an issue that we deal with a lot in social care… People with disability couldn't possibly have a libido, so they must be being abused! Not (always)

Rambo Last Blood… A film that just didn't need to be made, but somehow nostalgia won over.
-
I really liked uncut gems too. At the end of the movie i realised my heart rate had been up for two hours and I was slightly sweaty. Sandler does kill it. You honestly want to punch him in the face most of the film.

I've always wanted to punch him.

Agree, but now it was for being a slimer not a jackass.

I'm not big on watching films but this weekend I watched:
Inglorious Basterds - seen before, in my top 10
Shutter Island - first watch, thought it was good, tense the whole way!
Tarantino and Scorsese, good combo! Jess asked me, 'has Scorsese made any other decent films?"
Start her out with Mean Streets. That'll answer that.

Saw The Gentlemen a few ago. Lots of fun, without being quite as wild and irreverent as Lock, Stock…
One thing though, there was some pretty tasty clobber in the movie. One of the main characters had a nice pair of straight cut, high rise selvedge on. If I were to guess I’d say Dawson, just because of the cut. There were a couple of high end leather jackets, a very slubby type II and a nice pair of olive, herringbone workpants.

In the vein of Ford v Ferrari, there are two good documentaries on Netflix: one on Shelby, the other on Le Mans and the FvF rivalry. Adam Corolla was a producer on both, and his old co-host Jimmy Kimmel held a door for us and was very kind to us at Little Sister, a great Viet restaurant, in Manhattan Beach.
