If I have to have my cuffs fastended at wrist level for more than 5 minutes my head threatens to explode. I’m basically a three year old, but it means I can have a big thick watch, one day when I finally find «The One» [emoji849]
Same here. I even push up the sleeves on long sleeve T-shirts because of my wrist anxiety.
There is a second issue with tall watches to consider, neph. If you're clumsy, like I am, then you'll often be banging your watch into door frames, counters, chairs, basically everything. Just something to keep in mind during your search…

The red dial on that Victorinox is nice, @Handlebars. I meant to say so earlier; the INOX series seems like a solid bang for the buck.

Great deals on Seiko at Macy's
https://www.macys.com/shop/jewelry-watches/mens-watches/Brand/Seiko?id=57386They have the other (PADI) version of my SUN019 GMT dive watch (which I call Big Ugly) for $350 with a code, among other deals. The PADI GMT has a quick-set hour hand ("true GMT"), which I think is pretty rare this side of Grand Seiko, Rolex, and Omega, and very handy for changing time zones or "springing forward" as many of us just had to do.

As I’m in something resembling civilisation (Liverpool) I actually got to try on a couple of watches that I’ve liked the look of on the internet. Two Hamiltons:
I was slightly surprised to find that I think they’re both a little big. Also the olive automatic, which has been an on screen favourite looked a little cheap irl. The other is perhaps is the same as the one you had for sale @UnTucked ?

Gorgeous and NATO works well with it and all field watches.

Looks great. Not least with that strap.
This. Field watches really belong on NATOs, and the olive drab looks perfect.
