IHM-27-BLK - Sateen M-65 Field Jacket - Black

There's always the option of treating the fabric yourself with either an oil, wax, or silicone based water repellent.
-
If you wax or oil it, be aware that you will most likely get some transfer that’s much messier than indigo. I remember reading about a guy who wore his waxed jacket in his warm car.

I've been after a proper, well-built field jacket for a few years. This one or the olive colorway seems to fit the bill nicely. Though it looks like I missed this year's run. Any chance of a restock in the near future?

@Bobcat Sig You are in luck…this year’s hasn’t been released yet https://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=17843.msg750022#msg750022
We are hoping for them to land in October / November.

Oh, man! That's great news. Selfishly, I was hoping for a shorter timetable, but for quality this good? I can wait.
Thanks for passing along the good word.

RESTOCKING ON WEDNESDAY 2ND NOVEMBER AT 1600GMT

Has this jacket ever been made in a different kind of cotton fabric (other than the oiled version)? Just asking out of curiosity because I got a M65 some years ago at a retailer and the fabric looks slightly different than the pictures, almost like a plain weave. I may be mistaken of course.

Yes, different types of fabric over the years…

Got mine yesterday from the long awaited restock, great jacket. Shoulders do seem slightly confined, I got this to wear over shirts, the length covers the tails of the shirt showing. Anyone else find that when wearing an IH western under an IH jacket the shoulder seams line and up and dig into your shoulder? I get the same with the N1 as well.
