My green 162 is a definite favorite in the collection. Between that and the old serge cargoes that I have, I’ve got no doubt this new fabric will be amazing. I’m sort of glad this shirt is beige/khaki. I’ve never really responded to that color, so I’m safe from wanting it. [emoji23]

I had the same thought, not really seeing what I understand to be mocha brown on my screen. But lovely nonetheless!

What is the difference in the material used for the Swedish Serge Shorts and this Military Serge Shirt? Appreciate any information.
I don’t know the direct answer to this, but serge can be a lot of things, just like denim. The 22oz serge used on the cargo pants a few years ago was insane. I’d imagine military serge has a smoother more even hand than other serges.

It looks entirely different from the Swedish serge:
The one on this shirt's weave pattern to me resembles little herringbones and you don't see that in my terrible picture above.
As Neph mentions, serge is a broad category, even including serge de Nîmes (aka denim), and there are different weavings even within that subcategory.
