Its an awesome pair. I got one and i hemed them just a tad too short.
-
@endo I wanted to point out that your picture convinced me to buy these today.
Also the phrasing, "…smoother face to the fabric... and high-contrast fades" on the website got me too

I was freaking out about the waist on these… but I just tried on a pair of shorts that are a 35 waist (they measure 17. 2 across) They were tight but I could get them buttoned up. So my 36.1 waist on these should be perfect after the inch of stretch. The thighs were also a consideration, but I can grab about 4 inches on my size 38 XHSib 634 pair.
I am really excited about these now.

I couldn't sleep last night so I was reading the details about these jeans again and it's cool to see that these are sanforized and one washed. That is so awesome. I hate soaking stuff when I really want to just put them on straight out of the bag and keep wearing them.

That's awesome I have not had a new pair since 2019 so I am super stoked.
-
the new leftist jeans are awesome. The waist is super tight like over 2 inches smaller than my XHS 634. I lined the waistband up on both pairs on the left… Should be fun.
I can get them buttoned up pretty easy but they feel like they might spontaneously combust when I sit down, since they are so tight.

I will get a better fit pic(s) soon. After I break them in a little.I think my cat likes them.
I love the pristineness of this patch

Thanks a lot. they were comically tight when I first put them on. I can't believe how much they have relaxed with a little wear. I slept in them and I almost had an accident trying to get them unbuttoned when I had to pee.
-
In case you are wondering I got the waist to stretch from a 36.2 to a 37.5. No sweatpants shorts underneath necessary.

Initial impressions of the jeans are positive. I'll preface this by saying I have spent almost every waking moment of the last 3 years in some sort of 25 XHS, so the denim feels super light and comfortable. It's like a weight has been lifted from my legs. The hand of the jeans is indeed soft and smooth. But I starched and ironed the hell out them to get them crispy feeling like I enjoy. I paid careful attention to ironing the creases next to the selvedge, ironing them while they were slightly damp.
The high points on my pelvis are sore from the waist. But this has subsided now and the jeans are very comfortable. I was worried about having a miserable break-in period with these. But I don't think that will be the case at all. They seem like they will be very comfortable and pleasurable to wear. The denim has a similar weight and feel of the denim from the blanket lined rider's jacket I had a few years ago. It's really great.
After spending a long while in 'indigo blue overdrive' I enjoy the slightly subdued color of these due to the more exposed weft. I think I will be keen on living in these for a while.

^ the new shirt is slightly too big. But I am going to give it a hot wash and see what happens. I also already moved the buttons on the cuffs to close them up about 3/4 of an inch. I'd rather it be too big than too tight. I hadn't counted on losing so much weight recently.

@neph93 yeah I have been known to wear a pair of cutoff sweatpants under some of my new pairs to try and stretch the thighs. Sorry I mentioned it a few times. It helps add some padding and stretches the shit out of them quick.

Filthy you ever get jeans hemmed?
