Matt's New Mexico (Formerly Airstream) Adventure

A dear friend of mine from St. Paul is out there! Would love to go one day, maybe we will see you next year! Hattie would love it. Thank you for sharing @Matt

Impressive how many balloons are up in the air.
-
@mclaincausey we’d love to entertain you for BF next year. Just let me know!
@goosehd I have not. Not ruling it out though.
@ROman that’s nothing. The mass ascension is when they all take off in the morning and it’s utter balloon mayhem. You have to leave the house at 4 am to fight the traffic and parking in time for it. We’re doing the evening event where they light up some funky shape balloons. It’s supposed to be much less chaotic. People come from all over the world for Balloon Fiesta.

Very nice.

I mentioned this on another thread but I’ll put up some updates here so as not to distract from The Mods’ European Vacation…
Katie’s home from the hospital and she smells awful. That said I’m really glad she’s alive. The final diagnosis was pneumonia in all the lobes of her lungs with one partially collapsed. She’s been getting antibiotics via injection and IV for 3 days and is now on two different antibiotic pills at home. She can barely walk 5 steps without having to stop and catch her breath but she’s ok and actually sounds infinitely better than before she went in.
Her tales of misadventure in the Urgent Care waiting room (3 hours) and then the ER waiting room (5 hours) followed by two days of general ineptitude by overworked (a generous assumption based on her stories) medical staff is jaw dropping. One nurse gave her a pill that she, the nurse, couldn’t identify when asked. ??? In the ER waiting room she witnessed vomiting, fighting, domestic abuse, child abuse and a colostomy bag geyser mishap. On the nurses board of patients ailments she saw “big toe injury” “pink eye” and “vaginal itching” which sounds like the first five minutes of bed time at my house and certainly doesn’t warrant an er visit.
She’s home now and happy to be here. Thank you so much to all the well wishers. We love you guys.

I'm very glad that she's home, in safe hands and on the mend. My best wishes for a continued recovery.

Thanks everyone. She sounds much better. The main issue now is that she needs to clear the Lucia from her lungs but coughing is very painful. Also she read the dr’s notes on her app this morning and they neglected to mention to her that one of the reasons they held her for sibling was because she was as septic and her organs were shutting down. It’s sobering to think of how dire it actually was. This morning we were discussing a game plan for how I can pick up chicks after she dies. Her method was pretty involved and required me to lay some ground work now while she’s sick. My plan was just to tell some random hot single woman that my wife just died and had a big life insurance policy then ask what time I should pick her up for dinner.
I’m going to buy myself some boots this week. I’ve convinced myself I deserve it.
