Is the IHSH-61 made of the same sateen as the M65?

Don't think so….

It's been getting hot here and I switched to my 14oz Iron Hearts today. Maybe it's just me but I definitely feel like the 14oz denims are much better in the heat than the 21oz. The 18oz vintage is good in the heat too. IMO the best hot weather Iron Heart denim is the extinct 16oz but the 14 is a close second.

…I chickened out on the 14oz'ers. :o My fidelity to the XHS stands! I bought a pair of the IH-727 Kahki Chinos, those along with my 502 cargos, 602 work pants and 888 ducks makes me believe I've got plenty of hot weather pants to wear. ::)
...There's only 3 months of heat a year in this neck of the woods anyway so why muck it up in the denim dept... Stay True To Your School!:D

Less heat than that up my way but I share your sentiments.

I just saw these and I am wondering how this is possible? How can they have a felled outseam and selvedge sewn flat on the inside?

This help?
I prefer the traditional outseam and the train track fades it renders personally; that has never been a point of failure in jeans construction to me so I am skeptical that I would need felled outseams and a vanity selvedge detail.

The OP told me they are Freenote. I just thought it is interesting. I have never seen it before. It would be cool on the overallls, is why I am so interested in it.

Ok, has anyone here ever just gotten in the tub with jeans on, then wear them until dry?? I've done it with a lot lesser denim, but this stuff is a different animal.

hey giles. what kind of sneakers do you wear?

I think that is a perfectly legit thing to do, and I know folks have done. I go the less iconic route of soaking then putting on while damp. The end result is the same, but the discomfort shorter [emoji1]

For the people who repair their Iron Hearts theirselves, I seem to have developed a few holes in my 21oz OD's that I wish to patch, do you people use any scrap, or do you use denim, and if you use denim, do you use 21oz denim? If so, where do you source it? My left knee has worn thin to the point in 2 places where I can see my leg, and then the butt has a hole starting to form, and would prefer to take care of that before you can actually tell its my underwear underneath haha.

I always use IH denim, but that is because I can. The majority of my jeans are hemmed to 31.5” and the guys always send the cut off. I save them. I don’t necessarily use the same denim for the patch.
At the end of the day, anything with a bit of resilience will do.

@sethatwork I've got plenty of old off cuts and a pair or two of jeans I can hook you up with…
