RE: Indigo invitational Y4
Been wearing these all day every day since the last submission, but no real observable difference. This is life for us slow faders
If anything they've been soaking up some of the indigo from my 295-IB and are turning darker. Keep this up and I'll be back at square one once the competition is over

RE: Indigo invitational Y4
First submission in the books. No days missed so far.
Love these SBGs.
(Do I miss the XHS? Maybe a little bit)

RE: Indigo invitational Y4
Not a whole lot of progress since last month (despite wearing these more than I anticipated). Still only on the one wash, considering doing another wash soon.
-
RE: Indigo invitational Y4
My goal for the Indigo Invitational was to reach at least 200 wears.
That has now been achieved, currently at 203 wears. Still at only one wash. I'll definitely be continuing to use these going forward, but will be wearing some other pairs as well. The longing for XHS is strong

RE: Indigo invitational Y4
333 Wears in total on these.
4 washes (at 117, 232, 295 and 333 wears).Overall I enjoyed the experience a whole lot more than I thought I would. I imagine I'll join the next one as well.
Highly recommend giving it a go if you've been contemplating it. -
RE: Indigo invitational Y4
@Gammaman Entering with bibs is awesome.
@Jcaz6996 Nice, will be another amazing pair I'm sure.
@gouki74 Cool, hard to beat XHS. Not sure I could go a year without washing, but looking forward to following along.
Decided to go with the SBGs in the end. This will be the year of black jeans.
Not looking to win, but would like to reach at least 200 wears.Just submitted Raw Proof:

RE: IHSH-295-IB - 14oz Selvedge Denim Western Shirt - Indigo/Black
Time to put this to use.
Just put it on and, wow, these are good.Fading is always super slow on shirts for me, but will definitely enjoy wearing this one

RE: Indigo invitational Y4
I've been ruminating hard on which pair to go with
A full year in the same pair is a long time.
I think I will go with these instead. Have been loving the 526L, dig how crisp, tight and hairy the 19oz lefty is. Need to get them hemmed though. -
RE: Indigo invitational Y4
Combs are coming along ok, and some first small signs of fading at the back pockets.
The lighting makes it appear a bit more prominent than in real life I'd say.Haven't missed a day so far. Great jeans.

RE: Indigo invitational Y4
Latest submission.
Wearing these a bit less at the moment. It's been fairly warm recently and I've been spending most of my time indoors (with no AC).
Wearing them today though, blessed with some cooling rain.

RE: Indigo invitational Y4
Did a second wash. I've been moving, and it's been hot and humid, so it was definitely needed. That also explains the mess that's partly visible

RE: Indigo invitational Y4
October submission.
And if you are wondering if the back side of the right leg is more worn than the back side of the left leg, the answer is yes!
Happens with all my jeans it seems. Must be down to how I sit/rest one leg over the other etc.
Currently at 253 wears.
1st wash at 117 wears.
2nd wash at 232 wears.(Right click to open big versions for a closer look)

@Denimhead-0 Outstanding pair! Incredible evolution
@jebrand These look amazing man!
@Subprime Beautiful pair!
@Davids_denim Awesome pair of UHR! (Gotta try a pair some day. But the pile of denim is already massive
)
@weftyarn Great pair, love these! Agree with the lightning comment, very cool look.
@Mister_Brue Wow! These have taken a serious beating! And as good as these are, gotta say I'm really looking forward to what you'll do in the next Invitational. (We've been seeing a lot of great fades from you on a number of different items).
@olblue Absolutely stunning pair! Wow, so good. Some of the very best I've seen.
@Brian Very nice man! Would love to check out some Pinion denim at some point.
@pmadison95 These look great! And some badass combs.
My SBGs are currently drying. Will post some pics within a couple days, but not expecting a whole lot
(Finally) Time to go back to 25oz on a daily basis. -
RE: Indigo invitational Y4
A bit hard to photograph in a way that's faithful to what you see in real life, but here are a few shots.

RE: Indigo invitational Y4
Decided to go for a first wash. Longest I've ever gone without a wash, by far, at 115 days.
They were getting that slick/greasy feel which I can't stand. No smell though. They also have the beginnings of some crotch blowouts, which is quite unusual in my case. Worn through the back belt loop as well. Seems clear to me (and seems to be common knowledge) that wearing a pair for this long without washing takes more of a toll on the denim.In the machine now. 40C, no spin, inside out, with some Woolite Dark. Did a fairly long, warm soak first, trying to avoid marbling if I can. The water was surprisingly clear after the soak, and no funny smells
Here are some before pictures. Will take some after pictures tomorrow.
